"Vomited into life, from the womb of absurd bliss I fell. Inspired by mirrored idiocy, was fed, walk and talk... I do not listen, that is blasphemic intent of un-ingnorant act. By hypocrites, in every sphere of human contact, I absorbed my defiant hatred. Desperately, some trials of extinguishing the burning flame, brutally banished, I cannot force my brains into nonesense, this is what it is, my disgusting existence. But I replicated the recipee, now I am lost, the neverending cycle of consumption spins once more." - by schizophedeath - entitled: The Idiot. EXTREME RESURRECTION FANZINE(Ury) - Issue #7 - yes, you read it well, my fanzine is in the hoven! Soon will be out! I finally managed to do it. Hurray for myself and fuk the rest. YDI (US) - A place in the Sun EP 1983. CDR . Well well well , this is an outstanding HC from US ressembling to some japanese vibe ala CONFUSE(Jpn) plus the MINOR THREAT(US) aggression with a vocalist that can make you think of LEGION OF DEATH(US) and DISCHARGE(UK) . Tracks are short, in your face, but are not unenjoyable short ones. I think this is a great EP that totally deserves being checked, what I found most astonishing was the fact that guitars are all the time on the first strings of the guitar for the chords, or may be the guitar was tuned quite high, don't know. Found this when watching a pretty intense documentary named "American Hardcore" . Check bellow my words surrounding it. SS DECONTROL(US) - The Kids will have their say 1982. CDR. Another one taken from the aforementioned documentary, yes , one of the few that really shocks, these guys play in the vein of MINOR THREAT(US) with more agression in general terms so vocals are stronger. Tracks are too short too but they do not disappoint either. Another good northamerican HC catch. I am not into straight edge but I admit their music is good. SARCASM(Slo) - Crematory 1989, RE 2021 CD by We Bite Records. This is speed metal, totally unknown to me. Never heard of this project before but a friend of mine recommeded it to me and being pre-90s it was impossible to avoid it. I found, it ressembles to BATTLEFIELD(Ger) on the first track "Road Warrior" this one being a little bit more slow but with a similar way of delaying each scream. I believe some riffs are also inspired by what HELLOWEEN(Ger) did on their early recordings, and the vocalist kind of immitates Schmier from DESTRUCTION(Ger) but when "Crematory" track took place and I heard "... warriors from the Universe", it also made me think of RUNNING WILD(Ger) in "Iron Heads" . When "Sarcastic reborn" starts it's pretty obvious these metalheads were skilled and knew what they were doing, the classical music influences are also clear on some scales, what depicts a solid ground for a robust recording. "Thrash Tonight" says "Mad Butcher" between lines, killer track, being more thrash metal it's clear it's the best so far. "The Kruger Story" I think inspired the artwork of this release but it's almost like "Tonight" from TOKYO BLADE(UK) with a kind of MOTLEY CRUE(US) 's vocal tune. "Fate" even though it gets back to the kind of DESTRUCTION 's speed, the rythm on the phrases remind me of Tom G. Warrior and WARDANCE(Ger) came into mind as another project that could be linked to. "Runaway" is the last track on this 1989 album, it gets thrashier for a proper close and if the vocalist were more agressive I would not doubt on saying it's on the edge of Deathrash metal madness, this track beats the album. If we do not let ourselves getting deceived by the tracklist order, I would say this is an average recording and probably that's why it never shined, totally inoffensive music for that era, but on the other hand, coming from Slovenia is something one shouldn't ignore. So It's totally recommended to grab it if on your way. This does not finish here, the label added three bonus tracks recorded in 1988, these are "Fate" which is much better here than on the album, because it's little bit more agressive, and can also be appreciated on "Runaway" too where more SODOM(Ger) from "Obsessed by Cruelty" era are notorious but speed is not as fast as on the album version. The label also listed "The Krueger Story" before these two tracks but was left to the end and includes the "Nightmares on Elm Street" intro but is not as good as ANGKOR VAT(URY) 's one HAHA! Anyway, this track is also better than on the album. For anyone curious on getting something from that location, this is quite good in fact. MORTAL PAIN(Gre) - Mortal Pain EP 1992 by Molo Lave Records. DM in the 90s vein with the greek-scales-touch , I would connect this with MORGOTH(Ger) , ANGEL DEATH(Ita) , CANCER(UK) with a similarity on the vocal tune to Mike Browning on "Thresholds" LP, it also counts on some slow parts making it a little bit doom. I don't find this as an spectacular release but it's quite good and enjoyable, at least to listen to something a little bit different to what I am used to. This is a two tracks EP and those are "Isolated" & "Under the Curse" both tracks equally good in terms of compositions and ideas, it's indeed consistent. If you find it give it a try! DEATH SENTENCE(US) - Before the Slaughter demo 1985, on 7" , this is de "Death is the only way" demo. This is pre- NUN SLAUGHTER(US) , if you listen to this, it's not comparable, here they are totally Thrash Metal and even though Don of the dead is the vocalist, the approach is different. I don't find it impressive but not bad either. This could be related to DESECRATION(US) on their rehearsals era, because the vocals are quite clean but the music is pure Thrash Metal and guitars seem influenced by DARK ANGEL(US) . Expect a rehearsal demo sound, but it's indeed quite clean. NUCTEMERON(Sgp) - The Unexpected 1987-1991 compilation LP by Zzooouhh Records. This compilation is excellent, starts with their first demo from 1988, "Legacy" is a mixture of old SODOM(Ger) , SEPULTURA(Bra) and TERMINATOR(Cze) and the sharp environment is almost ala TORMENTOR(Mex) in their demo era included in "Beholding the endless pestilence" compilation. On "Transitation" you perceive in a clearer way some Brazilian sounds that could be found in ATTOMICA(Bra) or EXPLICIT HATE(Bra) and the environment on "Swirling Blackness" made me think of "The Shinning Pentagram" demo by NECRODEATH(Ita) . "Silent Sorrow" is the last track following the very same line, the whole demo is totally consistent in style. The following tracks are from their second demo, "Demo 2" from 1990. To conclude this excellent compilation, a couple of unreleased tracks from 1991 were added. These are "Nuctemeron" and "Power, freedom, invincible" , luckily this trio did not disappoint, the sound reminded me a little bit of OBSCURITY(Swe) on this recording session, the vocals are in a more Black Metal-ish style and some riffs too, the vocal tune takes me into a Japanese approach and the speed is excellent. Totally recommended item. CENSURA(Ita) - Key of the abattoir demo 1995, not my kind of beer, average Death Metal from the 90s with a mixture of black metal plus an impressive skilled drummer. Nothing else to add on this from my side. METAL LADY(Hun) - Metal Lady 1990, bootleg tape. Heavy metal inspired by JUDAS PRIEST(UK) and ACDC(Aus) with some Speed Metal touches here and there plus some Pop, comparable to Маркиза (Rus) but I would say this is more Metallic. It counts on really strange chorus which made it quite appealing to me when I first go into it, digging in POKOLGEP(Hun) 's frist album and noticing they had a parallel project with a female vox. For those insane by female vox, this is interesting, mostly because of this aforementioned fact, because the whole album is quite on the average with pretty well known riffage and vocal rythms. If this words sound as if this could be your kind of beer, well you should take it! VA (Afr) - The Death of Africa? 1993, originally released by Inhouse Records, is an African compilation. Speaking to my friend carlos (SHP) , requesting him demos from VOICE OF DESTRUCTION(Afr) , he mentioned to me this, in fact I think he did it long ago, but never care about it, now I asked him for this one, just for curiosity. V.O.D. tracks are ok, quite slow, more doomish, I got bored, I felt those were kind of repetitive, but are not bad anyway. Followed by an unknown project to me, ABHORRENCE(Afr) , this is Death metal influenced by the north american way, I kind of enjoyed it but then I read they were christians, so fuk them, the track even talks about jesus HA! RETRIBUTION DENIED(Afr) , this is a Death Metal project, quite fresh to my ears, with some Greek influences, on scales and production, this last reminds me of "His majesty and the Swamp" and bands like SEPTICEMIA(Gre) or even DEATH COURIER(Gre) could be related to, voice tune also reminded me to GODLESS(Gre) (cheers Chris! ). I found this one totally interesting. DEBAUCHERY(Afr) is in charge of closing this compilation, is like an african version of CANNIBAL CORPSE(US) with some mixtures with ENTOMBED(Swe) , I felt it is similar to DYING FETUS(US) on its vibe, not what I was expecting but not bad. To sum up this words, like I always say, compilations are good to know scenes, this one help me knowing at least one intersting project! This is not for everyone, if you want to dig on V.O.D. ; refer to their first release first (I am still missing their demos) , expect 90s Death Metal with some twisted scales and production which makes it quite fresh I must say. JAGUAR(UK) - Power Games 1983 by Neat Records. This is a classical Heavy Metal in the very vein of TANK(UK), WITCHFYNDE(UK), some TOKYO BLADE(UK), IRON MAIDEN(UK) and even some DIAMOND HEAD(UK) plus traces of ANGELWITCH(UK) and BLITZKRIEG(UK) . Best tracks are "Dutch Connection" which is totally in the vein of "Filth Hounds of Hades" , "Out of Luck" is kind of "Lighting to the Nations" , "The Fox" keeps on that vein and I thought of CRUCIFIXION(UK) and little SAXON(UK) too . "No Lies" which has a pretty catchy rythm on the vocals which ressembles to that kind of blues-rock used on ACDC(Aus) 's "High Voltage" by Bonn Scott. "Prisoner" back into the TANK. "Raw Deal" and the closing "Coldheart" . Recommended if you are into these aforementioned projects! RAYDEAD(Aus) - Raydead EP 1991 , by Skuld Releases. This is a more US-Hardcorepunk oriented version of DISARM(Jpn) mixed with DESECRATION(US) , riffs are great, pretty skilled. This counts on "Machine of Arrogance" the openning track which is great. "Never trust the clear Blue sky" is quite twisted, more 90s US-hardcore on it, but it is not that bad. Their lyrics are about pollution, animal torture, shitty society and greedy politicians. Quite good to have around your collection, and it's interesting to me that they come from Austria, this is a cheapo you should get if you see it around. AMERICAN HARDCORE(US) - 2006, This is a documentary explaining the evolution of the genre on USA during the first half of the 80s. Counts on an amazing pile of bands I have never heard of, and the well known ones. The only draw back I perecived is the stupid interview with an asshole in a church. The anecdotes from the ones who were part of the scene during those years are quite good, I think they failed to include more fanatics into their documentary, I mean more people involved in the underground movement, and more women who, as they mentioned, were mostly in charge of the media, which is one of the most important things in the underground, fanzines, pictures,etc... I wish I have seen more of that and a little bit more of its values. Lyrics are notoriously not stupid, so that could be part of the main focus, even though it's mentioned and gives a great context politically speaking, it was not fully covered in my opinion. For those who are as ignorant as I am, this is pretty interesting, and for those who are not, well, give it a try and check it for yourself. RAGING DEATH (US) - #1 (1985) , not the famous LP but a fanzine I did not know. Taking into the account the year it was released, you can expect pure classics, it features bands like CELTIC FROST(Swi) but focuses on german thrash with interviews with DESTRUCTION(Ger) , KREATOR(Ger), IRON ANGEL(Ger), SODOM(Ger) plus some reviews and bios. Pretty good reading plus excellent pictures, great quality. XXX(US) - #14 (1986) , HC focused fanzine, includes a BAD BRAINS(US) interview, a good one with MOTORHEAD(UK) and some others that weren't interesting to me. Not bad, good for punks! SUBURBAN DEATH(Can) - #1 (1989) , this another unknown fanzine to me, coming from Canada, including AUTOPYS(US) average interview with Chris Reifert, excellent in depth interview with DEAD CONSPIRACY(US) , a killer an full of information interview with Frank from NECROPHAGIA(US) but it's focused on his project with the monicker like his nickname KILLJOY(US) , I had no idea he was into some great music mentioned here, outstanding! Rest in gore ! You can also find a short SEPULTURA(Bra) interview and ARMOROS(Can), sadly this was not better being them from Canada too... a short but precise Australian scene Report and a short INCUBUS(US) interview with the brazilian guys that are religious but no one seem to care... The fanzine is pretty good, I wish the scan would have done better because it's totally impossible to print this and make it readable. FORGED BY FIRE AND STEEL(UK) #1 (2020) , Oposed to what I have been used to reading, this is a Heavy Metal oriented fanzine, this is a British special issue. You will find a great in-depth interviews with classic bands from the NWOBHM like JAGUAR(UK) , MILLENIUM(UK) , CLOVEN HOOF(UK) , SPARTAN WARRIOR(UK) , SACRILEGE(UK) , TRAITORS GATE(UK) , among some others. I really enjoyed the way it is written, really humble and the interviewees helped this issue to be complete, coincidentially, each of them provided lots of information. Highly recommended if you are looking for getting more into Heavy Metal classics. Thanks for the trade Nuno! great work!

"Through light descended onto flesh, so I percieve the life of a lazy scumbag. My experience will teach me what I ought not to be, if the eternal loop of dimensional transmutations is the universal law of education and not just condemnation. To my eyes, I am sentenced, but are these really my eyes? Shall my future materialization be part of another perspective? I don't want the answer nor the experience. I have seen enough of this world. I shall return to warn myself: 'not even lifeless living creatures, not even abstract forms of travelers... not even death itself, need to know what lays on that meaningless span of space and time on such a vague, distorted, repellent and odouring planet' , the thing is... I have already failed" - by schizophedeath - entitled: The Fake Traveler. ... Well new flyers will be put on the left of the website; I also attached a new list of trustful maniacs around the globe on the 'legions' section. For now I am only selecting devotees not from bands specifically but labels and fanzines, which in my mind, are the base for a healthy underground circle. If you are in touch with me and don't find yourself on the list, throw me an email, not a stone! JA! What was my criteria for selecting these individuals? Anyone willing to reply a letter, an email and avoiding socialnetworking will make it on the list, that's it. Ask for removal otherwise. Assholes not replying even emails or only establishing communication through webstores or socialnetshit are not recognized by myself as trustful, just easymoneymakers that must be ignored. CHACINA(Bra) - The Blind Man's Buff demo 1990. Released by Sodomistic Rituals and Third Holocaust of Evil on tape. Spectacular tape, this band was totally unknown to me, they come from Amazonas, pretty crazy, I thought there were only ancient civilzations there and not deathrashers ha! Well, this starts with a mediocre riff mimicking METALLICA(US) , which drew my attention because flyer's says "Deathrash band" and guess what, it fades out immediately, they explode into deathrash ferocity few seconds later in the very vein of AGRESSOR(Bra) 's "Kill or Die" with a production that takes you to KRUGER(Rus) 's 1991 demo. I was not expecting such a great demo. This includes 4 tracks plus a BLACK SABBATH(UK) 's cover , "War Pigs" , holy fuk totally weird to hear this cover with clean vox ha! In the end, terrific brazilian desecration! Recommended! Groß phil und steff, vielen Dank für die Tape! III KATEGORIJA(Yug) - Manijak Demo 1985, dubbed tape. This is a fast HC with some Thrash Metal influences. Violent, with an atypical sound on solos, but shares similarities, in sound, with the bands that I am mentioning below. Really good one and MOTORHEAD(UK) influences can be identified here and there. Their last track entitled like the demo, is in the vein of NAPALM DEATH(UK). I recommend this one for anyone curious. I wanted to start on this one for the yugoslavian attack relistenings. III KATEGORIJA(Yug) - xx.08.1986 Demo, This is their second demo with a cleaner sound, great great great solos and improved vox on deep screams. They turned a little bit more into the Metal sphere with more double kick drumming and rock n roll guitars ala MOTORHEAD so the evolution ends up being quite expected. Unluckily this does not have more tracks, it is a pretty good demo. DISTRESS(Yug) - 1985 demo, dubbed tape. Another super killer HC band from this place. Short demo with three tracks but killer ones, begins with the impressive "Igdaja Idjudsteih" and gets followed by "Sutra" , check the killer snare double hit and the guitar sounds at the end, or distorted bass don't know, amazing! this is a remarkable demo. "Posiednjirat" , the last one, even sounds like "Torturadores" from ACIDO(Ury) ! Highly recommended project! SLOD (Yug) - demo 1986 , dubbed tape. This is a deathrash metal project with some black metal environment but totally chaotic almost in the borders of noisy-looping-insanity on guitars with an spectacular macabre vocalist, at some points I think he ressembles to Sakevi from GISM(Jpn) . This is a pretty obscure demo except from last track which is weird as fuk, also "Qué Velocidad" from ATOXXXICO(Mex) rings the bell there. In general terms a pretty excellent demo, with its own identity. May be it could be linked to "Deo Optimo Maximo" from SCARECROW(Pol) . The only drawback I pereceive is the length of the tracks, too short, but killer anyway. Highly recommended. BESTIAL DEATH(Isr) - Suicide of the Immortal demo 1986, RE 2011 on tape by Israhellbanger Records. Excellent desecration of this spectacular demo. Probably the only band I know from this place apart from SALEM(Isr) (the artwork was done by Salem's guitarrist and just remember I never added their demos on my wishlist). What to expect on this? Pure deathrashing puke , this is one of the first recordings I ever listened to when digging chronologically, I lost my opportunity to buy this one on argentina the first time I played there, but almost a decade after that, this was put on my lifepath so I was excited about getting it back then. Its almost-raw sound and distortion makes you think of the ultrametal recordings from Colombia, but the outstanding brutal vocals and the midtempo drumming deliver the brazilian approach; under the surface I think this was mainly influenced by SODOM(Ger) . All tracks kill but b-side with "Nuclear Hell" and "Bestial Death" is an splendid closure, hugely recommended! VOIDD(Jpn) - Premonatry Inscription demo 1990, RE 2022 by Zzooouhh Records. This is a japanese band worshiping swedish Death Metal with some japanese own style ala TRANSGRESSOR(Jpn) . I don't enjoy the vocalist tune, despite that, it does count on some weird phrases, overall the recording is good. For those needing their daily dosis of death metal, I don't find it remarkable, it's ok for historical purposes. VOIDD(Jpn) - Human Atrocity demo 1991, side B of the aforementioned LP. This begins with an awful track, then follows the 90s DM vein. Few tracks are interesting, again, nothing remarkable. DVC(US) - Descendant Upheaval 1989 LP. RE by Steamhammer. This is an spectacular hidden project. Of course is not hidden among archeodeathrashers but for those unknowing the project, this is a Death Metal with an splitted vein, among their technical aspects, be it weird as fuk riffs, drummings, etc... plus a macabre vocalist ala Kingsly Folley from DECEASED(US), Bareny Greenway from BENEDICTION(UK), NAPALM DEATH(US) or even MARTIRE(AUS) in the most saned version of their vocalist, if that could be in some ways possible ha! I think of NOKTURNEL(US), FATAL(US) too and not only on vox but also due to some technical aspects ; the guitar tune comes from UK, you cannot avoid thinking of "In battle there is no Law" by BOLT THROWER(UK) , and yes SACRILEGE(UK) , you can perceive that vibe, groove, feeling and detailed arrangements poping around. Even though I thought this could differ far from what they've done for their previously released demo, it does not, it's partly a clone with few differences on the recording and tracklist. This indeeds needs to be checked by any deather around, is not optional! CARAS DE HAMBRE(Pan) - Anarquía para todos 1989 (Anarchy for everbody), dubbed tape. Since the vocalist sounded as one of the most rebels on the "Ruidos de la calle" 2021 documentary I recently watched (check bellow its review), I decided to go for this an check it out. What you can hear on this total-in-your-face recording is a mixture of metallic sounds on guitars including the crunchy bass sound ala "Scum" from NAPALM DEATH(UK) , so you end up with an HC-Punk-Thrash-Grindcore mixture sung in Spanish with total rebel attitude, the name of this release says it all, totally in my line, besides the tracks and chorus also reflect that, best tracks are "Buscando en la vida un modo de ser" , "Fuerza Pública", "Poder Subversibo", "Brutalidad Policia-k" , "Cuando la Violencia acabe con Nosotros" which reminded me of ATOXXXICO(Mex) , "Anarquía para todos" happens to have some 200 MUERTOS(Par) and due to its lyrics I could not avoid thinking of ANARKIA(Chl) . Hugely recommended for those who think for themselves in a non-selfishfukway! DISARM(Jpn) - After the D 1988 demo, I don't have it under my possession. What do you know? I just came across with this by chance on the internet and realised this was never an American band but a Japanese one and the demo wasn't entitled "After the Dead" but in the way I wrote it now. Holly hell; I would never get this one way of the other if this was totally mistaken... fuk man, after more than a decade I still look for this and if someone is willing to help me, I will be more than grateful. Now that I happen to be able to check the full EP online, I realised it's much in the HC vein and indeed, If I look at it retrospectively, it sounds totally japanase, mostly because of the way it's screamed, some tracks are totally deathrash but some others do not, that's probably why this band was spread around as a b-side . Anyway, this is a fukin killer B-SIDE recording but the A-side is not that bad either, if you are also into HC this is a killer recording. I still cannot processes this had another side! JA! If you already read my site, you know I was/am obssessed with this side, so you must try to get this as much as I have been doing it! RUIDO EN LAS CALLES(Pan) - Panamenian Scene 2021 documentary. This is spectacularly done, I thought "El Diablo Nació en Medellin" from Colombian Ultra Metal scene was spectacular, but this goes even beyond (anyway the colombian one is still spectacular ha ha! ). This documentary exposes tons of individuals who helped to develop the underground scene, overall it highlights the absolutely interesting cultural aspects of their society as a whole, they seem to be astonishingly helpful and kind to each other, you can definitely visualize an undeground brotherhood, something most countries lack. As one desperately expected, yes, it counts on a great amount of stories from the beginnings of this trip. I have no more words to express my ideas, this is a total must and an entry point for those unknowing projects from there. Thank you so much my old argentinian batard friend carlos for this killer recommendation! MORBID FAITH (Ger) - issue #20 it's now out! For those sick of the media, this is the anti-media, we don't need instant access to everything in the world, we set our own pace to properly support underground dwellers from every corner on the earth. The IRON LEGION is here.

DEATH INVOKER(Per) - Necronmancy, Damnation, Revenge EP, on tape by Nihilistic Holocaust. This maniacal trio take a step forward into what they were doing before. As previously stated, they were totally devoted to SEPULTURA(Bra) on their 2010 demo, but now they have more black metal influences as one can compare them with INFERNAL CURSE(Arg) , GLORIFICATION(Par), BLACK VUL DESTRUKTOR(Arg), DEATHLY SCYTHE(Chl) and the likes, to mention active projects in that vein of darkness. But if you need some ancient references, well I think that their brazilian roots are still intact but this time advocated in VULCANO(Bra), mainly because I could not avoid thinking of "Witches Sabbath" on "Witches Hammer" and a SARCOFAGO(Bra) -ish root on "Destroy the Cross" . This EP count on three tracks plus an intro, "Dviniation Through Death Spirits" is more the mid-tempo kind of track which is great with some POSSESSED(US) string hammers, noted that this one was left out on the 7" version due to length limitations. There's nothing more to add, these guys keep ruling their world, something else to remark is the spectacular artwork selected for this release. More than a year waiting for this trade to finally come. Get it or be alive! FEARLESS IRANIANS FROM HELL(US) - Die for Allah 1987 LP, what the hell can one think of a band with such a great name and a great title for their impressive first album? Well this is totally taking you out of your seat, I dug a little bit about their release, the political context of their time and how and why they used this name, these guys were totally killers ahead of their time in terms of rebellion. I must say that musically speaking they were, not ahead, but skilled as fuk Hardcore/Thrash metal project. "Die For Allah" is the first track that spits MINOR THREAT(US) on your face plus the classical CRYPTIC SLAUGHTER(US) agressive approach in between with BAD BRAINS(US), but here's the funny and interesting thing, guitars are fukin astonishingly recorded where one can listen a base followed by an arrangment on the top which reminds a kind of surf/ultra dark blues ala DUANE EDDY(US) or LINK WRAY(US) . "Deathwish" also counts on that and goes beyond with a catchy and furious chorus. "Whats the news" is totally into MINOR THREAT / VERBAL ABUSE(US) / CRYPTIC SLAUGHTER and some ACCUSED(US). "Life inside Iran" starts deliverying what I can see as an influence coming from the absolute killer guitar player from ENGLISH DOGS(US) , Gizz Butt! Not only because of those chords with some almost-solos with few notes here and there plus a solo itself but also because of the distortion used. "FIFH" totally confirms my idea of ENGLISH DOGS influences coming from their "Forward into Battle" LP . Side B starts with an intro, pretty rock , to be followed by "Iranians on bikes" ahahaha spectacular idea that name, again ENGLISH DOGS kind of riffs mixed with the typical Punk rock chackackachackacka palmuted guitars as if it were funk music with surf rock drumming. "Simple Life" keeps on that direction. "Chant" appears with an iranian speaking, this sounds as if it were a total declaration of war with some "Allah" screamings in the background haha, I can picture in my mind a kid in US playing this on his/her room while parents around hahahaha. "Ultraviolence" closes this LP with a really catchy groovy riff I know I heard somewhere else; and that's it. For an ignorant fuk as I am, this was mind blowing. If you are one of those who is tired of pure DISCHARGE-copycats, well, this is hell of a recommendation, is hard to find facekicking-hardcore bands but this one provides a total guaranteed joy! For further reading I recommend you to check this anecdote: here and the expected nihilistic interview: here UNHOLY LUST(US) - Humanity and its End 2018 - CD by Iron Pegasus. This is a Death Metal band worshiping POSSESSED(US) , you can see the phrases similar to the "Death Metal" track from "Seven Churches" LP on "L.W.U.D." track, finishing with a funny epic fart HA! but including some MORBID ANGEL(US) riffs with blasts and doublebass drumming. I could also feel some ACHERON(US) , "Rites of the black mass" era , when on "Ancient Times" track chorus and DEATH(US) on some tremolos, besides this track alternate vox with someone which I believe is far more outstanding as vocalist, much more deathrash ferocity, the first vocalist reminded me of EURYNOMOS(Ger) kind of vox . Good 4-track EP. This CD version includes their previous EP from 2014 "Banished from the Light" . Starting with the self-title track, I can say this one is more influenced by SADISTIC INTENT(US) and some BATHORY(Swe) on phrases for the "Enslaved in Sin" track, even some chords, due to its distortion sounds kind of swedish DM. If I had to compare them with another band from their time I would say FALLEN ANGEL(US) but I belive F.A. is more obscure. Great CD which ends with a pretty good metallic hardcore track entitled "Politics and War" , I am keeping this around for further listenings but I should also try to get their first album. Recommended! FALLEN ANGEL(US) - Dissolution Demo 2014 , tape by Necruz Records. I wrote them above so It was a must to relisten to their stuff and mention it here too. 4-track Demo totally in the vein of classical northamerican Death Metal. MORBID ANGEL(US) , IMMOLATION(US) , SADISTIC INTENT(US) , AUTOPSY(US) are the more notorious influences but the sound of the snare is kind of grindcore. Tracks are lengthy, well executed and dark. The logo is killer and that's why I got it initially. Best tracks are "Blasphemed Death" and "Nocturnal Apparitions". Recommended! FALLEN ANGEL(US) - All Salvation Lost 2020 compilation tape by Necruz Records. This includes the demo aforementioned plus "Trascend with the dead" demo . I am not sure if the previous demo was remastered for this release but sound improved in mixing if compared with the original release. The chosen artwork is great, reminded me a little bit of the afore-reviewed DEATH INVOKER(PER) EP art, even NECROCHAKAL(Bel) kind of arts, but I must say that I don't find it suitable for them, may be I am more used to other kind of arts for project into the MA's vein, for instance, their first art on the 2007 demo is much more suitable. I am proceeding to comment on the last demo below: FALLEN ANGEL(US) - Trascend with the dead and rotten demo 2019, this counts on a more raw sound, and the skilled drummer is the highlight here, as it starts with "Evil Lies within" you think of NECROVORE(US) but then turns into the MORBID ANGEL(US) path. Then the sound seems to change quite a lot, I think this have different recording sessions, I mean on "Meeting on the Spirits". Then "Rites of the Descent" as a kind of "Blasphemy" M.A.'s track, expect a brutal drummer! and last "Trapped in a Coffin" with some extra NECROVORE-ish kind of screams. Anyone willing to enjoy a MORBID ANGEL-inspired band, this is a great choice. Mostly because even though they mimick even some words at the end of the phrases, just as if it were MORBID ANGEL, the raw production helps them not to be a copycat, I firmly believe that if they release an album some day, this will have to be kept in low quality, otherwise it would end up being just another MA clone. Great demo! They don't seem to rush so let's expect another great demo in 5 years or so, starting to count on 2019, may be next year or the next!? Oh I almost forgot, A live set in 2020 was included in the B-side of this demo compilation, as killer as the rest! FALLEN ANGEL(US) - Endless Darkness 2007 demo, self made CDR. This is the origin of their lunacy. Raw demo with a couple of tracks, here you have a rawer version of "Blasphemed Death" and a track named "Corpses of Hell" . Seems to be captured by a tape recorded. Great beginning! FALLEN ANGEL(US) - Live Rehearsal 2014, in the very same CDR as the first demo, they seemed to paused for 7 years? well this is a live show where you find "Nocturnal Apparitions" from their first well done demo and "Rites of the Descent" from the last. Good to know that they were even more insane on stage. This seems to be a killer project to witness. These last two recordings are raw but totally worth it. This live show is excellent! SAX(Cze) - ZóNA Strachu 1991, Reissued by I Hate Records 2022. Czech Republic does not disappoint in terms of weird pronounciated Thrash Metal, you know I love that and this band is one of those that released super quality stuff. I can think of projects like TORR(Cze) and ASSESOR(Cze) and probably TERMINATOR(Cze) in their LP (which I don't enjoy but I know it was top quality) and DEBUZTROL(Cze) on their LP era too for the very same reasons, in my opinion "Beneath the Remains" album marked these two Thrash bands for their first album recordings. Typical Thrash Metal influences from the previous decade is expected, KREATOR(Ger) , SLAYER(US) and SEPULTURA(Bra) , but chaotic screams and atypical approaches on vocals is something to highlight on them apart form the fact that they were skilled. The best tracks for me were: "Dusená Smrt S Príchutí Olova" great solo , "DG 300" great weird vox plus fast drumming, "Rozkad Krve" kills. I have to admit that up to a certain extend this has something coming from ASPID(Rus) . To dive into them, what initially drew my attention was the unexpected art which was done by Libor Daleky, totally suits this album with the alien-like monsters. To my surprise he was also in charge of "Detonation" compilation artwork in the very same line so his art is by itself quite remarkable. The whole album is consistent and a really good classic Thrash Metal music with its own identity thanks to their language. I fuken liked it, this is indeed a must! SAX(Cze) - Moravské Nárez 1993, second LP. Very same line with a little bit more sharp guitars plus a change on the lineup, vox was replaced by a vox/guitar player which added little bit more speed and good arrangements plus solos. The vocals are more into KREATOR(Ger) apart from the fact that they already had influences from them on their previous album. Since this is faster I tought it was more appealing, but nope... This release is not bad, with the vocal tune changed, they kind of lost it, the whole recording not only seems it lost its identity but I found it quite repetitive and in the end, boring. It's not a bad recording, in fact you can perceive an improvement in how the composition where done, but could not achieve being above their previous release. I still wonder how these two LPs differ from their first demo. Anyone having that one please write to me! Anyway. I must say I Hate Records did an excellent work on digipaking these two albums, which looks as a digibook with the insert pages pasted inside with lyrics and fotos, killer work and quality. Even though I prefer rawer projects from that part of the world, as you may have already read when I reviewed TERMINATOR(Cze) ; but if you are willing to experience top quality Thrash Metal and, let's say native, on its mother tongue, well this is totally for you. MATRICIDE(US) - Elysium 1988 demo, dubbed, thanks Carlos! I was relistening to this the other day. This is a pretty well known project from John Ortega, one of the first MORBID ANGEL(US) 's bass players, "Mother's Day" being quite a famous demo among those archeodeathrashers outthere, which happened to end up being a twisted horror version of MORBID ANGEL, counting with lots of awesome solos mimicking Trey Azagthoth's way of madness, surprised with the idea being just himself on this releases but sadly counting on a drum sample which quite sucks on zymbals mostly. This following demo is definately a step forward since the drumming sounds much better. The whole production is equally done but vocals are better (reminded me of DEVASTATION(US) among some others from the time, but more obscure), not like those almost shitty growls done before, which were OK for the previous demo but must have been better in my opinion. This is another four track demo which is over the previous one. If you don't know this project or may be got stucked at "Mother's Day" demo, because this one seems to be a hard to find, well you should put your ears on this one! Besides MORBID ANGEL influences, you'll notice some NOCTURNUS(US) when keyboards are used. EVIL SPECTRUM(Per) - Emanation of the Hybris EP 2021 , by Escafismos Records (cheers edin!), sadly it lacks of an insert. Well this is really good Deathrash metal, that honestly, at first glance, reminds me to Chile more than Peru, and of course, their vivid brazilian touch, mostly SEPULTURA(BRA) from their best era, "Morbid Visions" MLP. Pretty killer music and excellent production. Side A counts on a couple of tracks "Bringer of Chaos" and "Occult Sin" (you will hear the "Show me the Wrath" influences on phrases, both tracks are equally good, I think they are working a little bit more on their arrangements because the music seems totally complete and vast. Side B has "Nazarenus Graves" which I think is the best of these three tracks, its intro takes you to BLACK SABBATH(UK) and immediately afterwards it took me to MORTAL SCEPTER(Fra), even though they have improved, their style is effective and precise, I am glad to see a project like this keep moving on their deathrashing path. Again, this along with DEATH INVOKER(Per) , DEATHLY SCYTHE(Chl) and MORTAL SCEPTER(Fra) are the best projects to follow nowadays, probably I am missing some, like JPI VIO-LENS KOMMAND(Ury) and few other projects that are worth mentioning. This is for those who don't need to follow stupid social networks recommendations. Recommended! Дажд (Ser) - Крв и семе 2020 LP by Fuck Yoga Records, I came across with this pretty cheap and gave them a try. I don't even know how to describe what these Serbian guys are doing... metallic tribal music or fuk don't know hahahaha. Has a pretty interesting Progressive Rock , Heavy Metal-ish, Black Metal-ish vibe with great screams and few mellodic parts here and there as if those were coming from a kind of Greek Black Metal scales. I kind of depict this music as "music for sex" . If you are willing to experience something weird then here you will find it. I found this really enjoyable, guitars cuts and repetitions are weird as fuk, the drumming is astonishingly catchy with hell of a rehersal-ish sound full of energy and feeling. Only recommended for those looking for unexplored realms of metal, quite an exception for myself HA! It's hard for me to compare this with something but I think it could be related to PACTO AMEN(Chl) and Оброк(Bul) . AFFLICTED CONVULSION(Swe) - Toxic Existence Demo 1989, dubbed. Well what to say about this marvellous band. If you like the production ideas used by MEFISTO(Swe) on their demo "Megalomania" plus the weird stuff added on "Alosia" demo by AUTOPSIA(Ger) or I could even mention GOMORRAH(Ger) demos and "Disgusting Semla" from MORBID(Swe), well this will pack all what you need as reference for you to be fukin consumed by their crazyness. Even though they later changed their monicker to AFFLICTED, this is much more interesting than what they did right after, because it was not polluted by the 90's Death Metal invasion. For those willing to experience the swedish death metal that does not sound like the crapy melodic shit used later, this will totally kill you. Just by staring at their logo as if it were the one from CURRICULUM MORTIS(Per) you'll be possessed, check this out or you will be punished by BATMAANNNNN!!!! SAURON(Swe) - Demo 1984, dubbed. Another swedish Heavy Metal-female-vox project. The vocal tune is pretty similar to Kate's from ACID(Bel) and the production, despite the redundancy on names, is quite similar to ACIDO(Ury) . As soon as "A lover in Black" begins you can think immediately of "Hell on Wheels" from ACID, even on the slow part I can think of ORAL(Swe) . "On my way to Heaven" counts on some JUDAS PRIEST(UK) influences but the tune always keeps inside ACID realm, this one is little more melodic, quite boring. "Send it Back" it's a good track, unexpected twists and a great space-like sample for a passage almost at the end that kills. Finally "Stormchild" , is like DELIRIUM TREMENS(Ury) ' s "Hijo de los ángeles" ! Excellent. This project is not outstanding and not that obscure as the artwork manifests either, but not bad, so if you are willing to extend your ACID desires, this will suit you. This was desecrated by Dark Archives Records on tape and vinyl, in case you are willing to take it. Pretty good demo! Thanks joakill for the trade! AULLIDOS DE PERRO(Mex) - Aullidos de Perro 2023, CDR by DTP zine and Herre Records, 10 tracks of Black/Punk Metal, nothing new, nothing outstanding more than the fact they have a female vocalist. Too clean sound in my opinion, the drumkick sounds too clean and plastic, fukin hate it. What I would highlight is the Punk spirit they seem to have, the track "Todo Vale Verga" made me vomit of fun, reminded me of ATOXXXICO(Mex) on "Que Velocidad" . I would compare them with BONBFIRE(Col) and VELHO(Bra) but these being much more effective on what they do. If you happen to track them give them a try but don't expect too much. Probably good on stage and with more beer than what I have now. ANTI SYSTEM(UK) - No Laughing Matters LP 1985. CDR . This is a great HC project. If you are into a mixture between CHAOS UK(UK) and DISCHARGE(UK) well, this is excellent, you can even listen few traces of DEVIATED INSTINCT(UK). I really enjoyed their kind-of-manifesto tracks exposing animal torture and hunger for instance; typical from that era, place and time but love it anyway. If you are curious about some other outstanding hardcore project, this will definately kick your face. PINK TURDS IN SPACE(UK) - Greatest Shits 1988, CDR. Spectacular HC from UK with female voxs. Another example of DISCHARGE(UK) mixture with CHAOS UK(UK) and thanks to Annie, the vocalist, I can think of A HEADS(UK) in few tunes but definately SOBERANIA PERSONAL(ARG) similarities. This is totally interesting for those looking for great hardcore massacre, some references to SKITLICKERS(Swe) can be found here too. Need more info? Here : http://www.serc-mapa.org/public_html/zerodisc/page2/index.html MOLESTÖR(Ita) - Lust in Piece Demo 2022, self-released on tape. I came across with their logo and distro somewhere in time through another letters... and decided to get in touch since their logo is kind of Thrash Metal-ish . But now I had the chance to have it rolling here and totally took me out of my seat. This is a Hard Rock band in its 90%. Reminded me of a rehearsal version of MOTORHEAD(UK) on "The Riding" and "Riflessioni di Jean-paul Sartre sul mondo moderno". "Serpent of Eve" is the remaining 10% that starts totally Thrash Metal but then goes back into their Hard Rock but this time I could think of TANK(UK) too plus some HC . "Strawberry Ice-cream" is a good mixture between those aformentioned UK projects, probably their best track on this demo. And to close they played "Skulls" from MISFITS(US) . This has nothing to do with what I had in mind but not bad at all. If I had to compare this project with some other from nowadays that would be NYTE LIGHT(Ger) (cheers cowboy!) . Thanks danielle for this!! ULVEZ(Ita) - Defender of Darkness demo 2022, tape independently released. This is another project from danielle, may be the more metallic extension of what was achieved with MOLESTÖR(Ita) and a solo project with no fake drumming, congrats on that mate! Sounds raw but good. Clean vocals reminded me of a little bit to BLITZKRIEG(UK) and the vein is more or less that one but inclined into more obscure arts. "Defender of Darkness" at first impression sounded little bit amateurish but when "My Morbid Queen" took place, got better. "Necromanti" is the third track of this short demo, simple and effective, pretty nice. And the tape dies with "Burst Command til War". After all is a good one and I would keep the previous contemporary projects mentioned above as references, apply much more into this project I guess. The ones interested should get in touch with him, as a matter of fact he runs the Haunting Chants Distro ; daniele.bigoni at hotmail.it . BAFOMET(Jpn) - F.O.A.D.I.F. 2022, tape by Destruktion Records. This is a Black/Speed/Thrash Metal act so related projects are the same as always, VENOM(UK), BATHORY(Swe) , SABBAT(Jpn) , GEHENNAH(Swe) , SODOM(Ger) and so on... has something extra, Heavy Metal. Vocalist reminded me of MANZER(Fra) at times. I won't cut my veins for this one but is a pretty good recording, at least not boring like tons of bands on the same line. I was shocked by the fact that "Satanico Heavy Metal" is in spanish and guess what... the vocalist is the one from BATTALION(Chl) , this was really crazy, I had no idea. Related contemprary project could be MIDNIGHT(US) , OMEGA(Gre), WITCHNIGHT(Arg) , OLDBLOOD(Svk), OLD(Ger) , and huge etcetera. For those looking for Sex drinks and Metal! Thanks again danielle!!

The vomit and fuk ya all: TERMINATOR(Pol) - Brutal Termination 1990 demo, spectacularly done by Life Eternal Prods in 2023. This is a Death metal/Thrash Metal act, begins with an excellent dynamic and fluent intro "Obóz śmierci", "Wyrok śmierci" comes into the scene, I thought of PROSECTOR(Pol) and IMPERATOR(Pol), the effects used on vocals are great, and the vocals are insane. Then it comes with a SODOM(Ger) worship with "Proselytism Real" cover, not part of the tracklist, then "Krwawa zemsta" with a kind of live session and "Nuklearna wojna" which seems to be part of the same session, deeper vocals and different approach, I think here you can hear the UK influences coming from BOLT THROWER(UK) , CARCASS(UK) may be, in a mixture with a more established Death metal, after reading the interview I realised I was quite right. Side B starts with lots of DEATH(US) influences, as you can easily identify "Denial of Life" on first track riffs along with lots of blasting drums that resembles to IMPERATOR(POL), vocals took me to DEBUSTROL(Cze) on parts, I heard some MASSACRE(US) too, the Polish sound and screams make this totally interesting ( Angus was doing drums and voice! ) plus a few ripping chords that border the hellenic black metal sphere mixed with SARCOFAGO(Bra) and I cannot aviod thinking of Оберън(Bul) . This record includes an spectacular insert full of pictures and interview, highly recommended! MEGATHERION(Ita) - BSM Demo 1986 , this is an italian demo which is a total Thrash Metal with lots of Speed Hardcore influences, total balltorture of METALLICA(US) , KREATOR(Ger), EXODUS(US) , ONSLAUGHT(UK) , VIOLENT FORCE(Ger) , some D.B.C. (Can) , with its italian pronunciation. This is a pretty good demo in terms of sound but lacks of originality in my opinion. So it won't shock you as other italian projects from the same period of time did to all of us, you know the ones I mean. For italian archeothrashers only. DEMISE(US) - Endless Torment demo 1989, their demos got reissued on CD, never heard of this project before, their logo was Brutal-Death-Metal-ish oriented, so it could be easily ignored, but their music is pretty killer, is death metal in your face, fast and furious with some DEATH(US) , DECEASED(US) and OBITUARY(US) , this last primary on few ripping screams and dense chords. Vocals are deep and sometimes reminds to BRUTALITY(US) even on guitars so expect trails of MORBID ANGEL(US) and I even found some SLAYER(US) similarities from the "Reign In Blood" era. Really dynamic sound, if you are willing to experience a Death metal/Thrash from late 80s with guts and skills, this is for you. I fukin liked it! DEMISE(US) - Inevitable Exit demo 1990, next release from these deathers. Vocals are little bit improved because they sound more lunatic, and the first track counts on more melodic passages through solos, still technical, they achieve to produce interesting skilled deathrash with a foot on what DEATH(US) did. I also thought of bands like FATAL(US) , REVENANT(US) on this one. DEMISE(US) - Devious Deception EP 1992, one could think that after a couple of years they could have shit on their vein but they followed they very same steps and created another recording on the same line with excatly the same production as before, so all these recordings altogether sound as if they were a full length. On the CD compilation insert you can read all these were restored from original DAT's, may be that's why these sounds so profesional. I guess on this EP I can relate them with NOKTURNEL(US) on the "Nothing but Hatred" LP, but not that, eh... let's say, modern. DEMISE(US) - Sadistic Summoning demo 1993, another demo from them. They returned to a more raw and crude sound, totally excellent, think of a putrid screams like DEVASTATION(US), the guys from chicago and LEGION OF DEATH(US) on the 85 demo "Have a nice Death" . "Sadistic Summoning" track even makes your think of MAGNUS(Pol) with a sharp scream like in the first "Scarlet Slaughter" track. "Cursed for Eternity" fuk these vocals are great, I loved them, those are totally deep, obscure and malignant. I think they kind of got a pause on the technical aspects and focused on more effective riffs with inspiring and vomiting vocals. This was a good exhumation done by Stormspell records. Thanks den for enlightening me with this one. TIRANT SIN(US) - Descecration of the graves demo 1, 1987, yes the well known pre CANNIBAL CORPSE(US) project, interesting thrash metal act in the vien of BLOOD FEAST(US) , EXODUS(US), VACANT GRAVE(US) and DAMNAKLEEZ(US) with few essence on MACABRE(US) , it's been a while since I listened to this for the very first time. Now that years have showed me different projects on this realm is hard for me to say that this seems as interesting as it first was. But don't get me wrong, is a good thrash metal project but Chris is not the highlight but paul I believe. For those willing to re-experinece extreme origins. POST MORTEM(US) - Coroner's Office 1986, another unknown project to me, checked them because of a CURRICULUM MORTIS(Per) 's picture, if you need a kind of precise description, this is a HELLBASTARD(US) , BLACK SABBATH(UK) -ish in music, with a BLOOD FEAST(US) -ish / ENGLISH DOGS(UK) -ish vocalist. What's so appealing on this one? The opening "Armies of the dead" has a fukin spectacular drumming un-production that kills, sadly was "fixed" for the following tracks. "Waiting for the funeral" first noises reminded me of "Paranoid" track, more B.S. 's relations found on "Death to the masses" too. "Concelead" track is like KREATOR(Ger) 's "Tormentor" on it own twisted way. I thought this project was much more interesting and intense but throughout the LP I got bored. Not that remarkable as I first thought. WRECKAGE(US) - Experiment in Terror 1986 demo, dubbed tape. Excellent Thrash Metal/Hardcore/Death in the very vein of early CRYPTIC SLAUGHTER(US) "Convicted" era, SADUS(US) "DTP" era and MORBID SAINT(US) , short demo but totally in your face, vocalist aggression is fantastic, as if it were for a death metal band. Their logo reminded me of the brazilian DISGRACE(Bra) , indeed it looks brazilian he he. Highly Recommended, top demo I must say. My fav tracks are all but "Envy the dead" what a great name! and "Vaporized" get carved in your damned skull! WRECKAGE(US) - From the Ashed 1987 demo, this is again absolutely killer, the drumming with that roto-toms almost with harmonics ala SEPULTURA(Bra) in "Escape to the Void" is spectacular ,also seems they incursionated into the Mike Torrao's ways with tremolo and hammers . This is the almost Thrashcore version of POSSESSED(US), reminded me a little bit of DESECRATION(US) rehearsals too . This gets more groovy after a couple of tracks but does not disappoint at all, keeps in the same vibe. Highly recommended. WRECKAGE(US) - World of Despair 1988 demo, well, I mentioned DESECRATION(US) and definately this started in their vein mixed with SLAYER(US) and more crossover used probably. WRECKAGE(US) - Dilemma 1989 demo, one demo per year with 3 to 5 tracks each and none of them are disappointing at all. If it weren't for the review on "Aniquilamiento Brutal" fanzine about their first demo I doubt I would know them. I found this project pretty consistent despite the pass through time. All their previous demos are pretty killer, this is too modern in some parts, as if they lost their deathrash touch and kept into Thrash Metal ways. If you ask me, get the fukin first couple of demos and you'll die! ASPHYXIA(Ire) - Conflagration demo 1990, this is a Thrash Metal project in the vein of MORBID SAINT(US) , SEPULTURA(Bra) from "Beneath the remains" era and KREATOR(Ger) from the "Pleasure to Kill" era. Hailing from Ireland, got to know them thanks to DEFTHRASH fanzine, this is a really nice recommendation indeed, I hardly remember if I know something from their territory. One intro and three tracks each of 6 minutes or more each, precise demo with great production and not dull. Probably not the best you can get but nice to know something from their ancient scene. NUM SKULL(US) - Ritually Abused 1988, dubbed. This is a killer thrash metal project that cannot be ignored, I was relistening to this classic so I wanted to mention it. If you are into MORBID SAINT(US) , BLOOD FEAST(US) , DEVASTATION(US), DARK ANGEL(US) and SADUS(US) , well this will totally be your kind of beer. I won't go on deeper analysing on this one since the references are quite precise, each track of this LP will deliver a tribute to some of those aforementioned classics. Expect Thrash Metal. RANCID DECAY(US) - Presumed Dead 2004 LP, RE by Outlaw Recordings. The name says it all, rancid thrash ARGH! I am going to start the review upsidedown, Side B begins with their first demo recording entitled "Decaying Stench Demo" from 1986, do you remember BLACK DETHE(US) 's Mary's Blood ? Well this demo sounds as if that band would have released another better quality demo, I felt that guitars are sharp as those ones and the totally saturated vocals take me there too, of course this project counts with a more elaborated drumming than what you can find on BLACK DETHE but that's the idea. The reminiscence with POSSESSED(US) through out the demo is not ignorable. "Crack of doom" is the intro opening this hell of a fast-trashing chaos, followed by "Toxic Death" with its totally POSSESSED riffing and CRYPTIC SLAUGHTER(US) 's screams. "Left to Die" is in that BLACK DETHE vein and again POSSESSED, ARGHH can you resist this? The fast, skilled and precise drumming is that excellent , fluent and with tons of feeling that elevates the whole demo. "Silent Scream" keeps that line, more obscure, here the drums mixed with that riff is pure ecstasy! Double bass kick is as fast as any other thrash project from the time, I bet even faster on stage. "Act of Violence" is pure madness, I felt some SLAUGHTER(Can) influences ala "Death Dealer" track thanks to some phrases and riffs, impressive double kick. This demo totally kicks asses, short but to the head. Side A includes "You have be eliminated Demo #2" , being from the very same year the ideas shifted just a little bit , "Presumed Dead" starts with an intro which will tear you into ACUSSED(US) on "Autopsy" track, then it reigns supreme with screams ala CRYPTIC SLAUGHTER line mixed with REPULSION(US) , in fact mixing totally takes you to "Horrified" LP kind of production! POSSESSED rythms are still here and there but customized in some ways so you won't feel a clone. Tracks on this one are longer so you will be absorved by their stench but I guess sacrificed little bit of their speed. "Time to Fight" keeps the same ideas including a tremolo riff stepping into deathrash field, there's a scream that reminded me of Quorthon's "oh mother of christ" Ha ha! In "Awakened from Death" track SLAUGHTER's influences are here again on the rythm guitar as if it were a faster version of "Incinerator" track. Closing this is "Love to Destroy" , the slow part made me think of NECROPHAGIA(US) 's demos but the main riff is ala EXODUS(US) . Thanks denis for this recommendation, unvalueable one! This is hugely recommended! WARRANT(Ger) - The Enforcer 1985 LP, dubbed tape. This is spectacular classical german speed thrash metal assault. I got to dub this one since copies from this one are quite expensive and I won't surrender to those fukers making money with cult pieces like this. If you are into IRON ANGEL(Ger) , TYRANT(Ger) and the likes this is for you, probably known by everyone already but one never knows so here is my mention to this killer piece of metal history. WARRANT(Ger) - First Strike 1985 MLP, dubbed tape. Previous to the well known LP, this is not that remarkable in my opinion, the references mentioned above keep being the same but you can feel also RUNNING WILD(Ger) influences from their demo era mostly. If you don't know them yet, this should be your gate to choose. Otherwise you won't be able to appreciate this recording as the LP, which for me is much better. DYSNEYLANDYA(Chl) - #1 (1989) , This is new for me, A totally honest fanzine from the southern Chile , Punta Arena! Has short but great interviews with CONCRETE SOX(UK) , DEIMOS(Chl) , ANARCHUS(Mex) , a short and totally shitty interview with CURRICULUM MORTIS(Per) , short but great review about Argentinian Thrash Metal scene plus comments on DEVASTACION(Arg) , excellent KAOS GENERAL(Per) interview, short New York , US, scene report... I was shocked by the fact that the guy who wrote this was the one in ARSENIC(US) !! CAOS (Chl) interview, and a short and not shinny DREAM DEATH(US) interview. After all this is a good exposure for a rebel attitude and spreading good ideas. I found it quite good and reminded me a little bit to PHOENIX MILITIA(UK) . Weird name for a fanzine ah? (Spanish-written). ANIQUILAMIENTO BRUTAL(Per) - #3 1988, peruvian fanzine , the first in Arequipa city, honestly, not too interesting, probably amazing back then because is mostly a review fanzine with tons of names for later digging, but is not that interesting, not even the HADEZ(Per) interview which is plain and shallow. DEFTHRASH(Ire) - #3 1989 , I think it's the first time I read a fanzine from Ireland, really fluent and nice reading, I liked their name ! here you can get some short but precise interviews with SINDROME(US) , ICE AGE(Swe) and the locals which were unknown to me, the deathers of ASPHYXIA(Ire) , plus tons of reviews, it's great how this got splitted in LP reviews , demo reviews and fanzines reviews with respective contacts. Really nice job. BESTIAL NOISE(Chl) - #6 2023 , chilean underground fanzine. What amazing and full of knowledge the interviewer is, questions are smart, fluent and totally dragging you into its obscurity. Sadly few bands seem they cannot even read more than a couple of sentences because they fail miserably answering good and elaborated questions, shame on those fukers (first couple of ints). The rest is totally devoted to the projects. Even though I am not into black metal these interviews are astonishing for anyone curious; APROCRYPHAL REVELAION (US) , BAPHOMANCIA(US) , EXPULSED ANGEL(GER) hallo fukers! , SARTEGOS(Spa), short review about DEADHEAD(Mal) fanzine, I had the same visions on that, excellent work, BAXAXAXA(Ger) , PHERETRUM(Ury) , PACTO AMEN(Chl) greetings F666! , BLACK BEAST(Chl) cheers pelado, thanks for the tape! CONTUMASY(Per) , LULLABY(Bra) , a really good ULTRA METAL historical context for those unkowing it or to recheck plus some reviews. Amazingly printed in almost hardcover paper for the cover only, which in my opinion kills, makes this look as if it were a book, fukin love it despite being criticized by some grumpy's (including myself but not this time HA!) and it's written in English so there's no excuse from anyone in the earth interested in getting it. contact: bestialmayhemicnosie at hotmail.
