ABHORER (SIN) - Rumpus of the Undead 1989 demo, this release starts with an intro ("Revivification", funny name) in the very vein of "Recrucify" from SARCOFAGO (BRA), DESTRUCTION(GER) MLP "Sentenced of Death" or even "Reincarnation" LP from GRAF SPEE(URY). What a beginning man... when first track "Repudiated Faith" (excellent title) unleashes you think instantly of SARCOFAGO and countless Brazilian tremolo-rusty-primitive attack bands. This tape is a total worship to the ancient Brazilian cult. Honestly if one asks you where these guys come from, you could name Brazil instead of Singapur in a blink of an eye, believe me. Another great mark on the last track "Profaned Immolation" it's its flameburning fire sample he he. This demo is by far the best I have ever listened from this band. This tape is still a pending trade from a pal from that continent which have not been possible due to the fukin shitty situation from nowadays, but thanks to my new bastard friend from the antichristian lands of Shangrilá I can now dub a tape for now, thanks joakill! (Antichristian lands? I see Jeovah witnesses everyfukin WHEEARGH!) MARKIZ DE SADE (POL) - Judasz 1985 - RE 2010 CD by, yes, the excellent Thrashing Madness polish label. At first listen I thought this band did not worth it honestly, but I gave it another try because some bands are not right for the wrong moment when you are not paying too much attention to them, so I did it. This project I think deserves a closer look because I ended up being quite interested in a few things I noticed which could help you decide what to think before getting into this Thrash/Speed Metal act from the polish grounds. The insert includes and extensive interview/review of the early years by the involved ones, it is excellent but quite repetitive in terms of their story about how difficult or poor the recording situation was, I think it is helpful to remark that kind of things because youngsters probably could not know about this facts, but at the same time I think, if they don't, they are not interested in the legends... so fuk them. The CD explodes with Judasz 1985, a demo with 6 tracks starting with "Markiz de Sade Vol.1", instrumental track plenty of great riffs, classical influences for some riffs are right there ala DESTRUCTION (GER), first riff is utlra famous and I cannot recall from where the fuk it was... "Marionetka" follows with a weird starting riff that took me to some Russian ways, but in the background I feel some form of Heavy Metal which adds that Speedy touch for the whole, this is sung in Polish, expect that form of screams that are not that common, that also made me think of the Russian ways, besides I felt some RUNNING WILD (GER) influences, may be from the 1984 Death Metal compilation that was more Rock, I also feel some guitars that could take you to VOIVOD (CAN), from time to time one can also remember Paul Baloff screams, this is a pretty good track and quite extense. Keep in mind this demo recording was done live, and besides having an excellent sound, the vocals have some echo/delay particularly adjusted in some screams which are outstanding if you realise that fact of a live recording. That made way for "Judasz", a track that starts with some arpeggio with the guitars which brought "Madelon" from the local act MACBETH(URY), to my mind. Then some heavy tunes ala VOIVOD (CAN) with the Russian barking vocals impossible to describe, KLINIKA(RUS) rings the bell here honestly, then a great riff starts to develop into more fast ways and I could not avoid thinking of ANNIHILATOR (CAN), don't you screamed "I love to see'em bleed" as if it were "Human Insecticide"! Hahaha and vocals are totally Baloff's! . "Sen Schizofrenika" goes really fast, in the same vein as previous track with that ANNIHILATOR(CAN)/EXODUS(US) influence but also the clean scream at the end of the first paragraph is totally RUNNING WILD(GER) and check the high pitch scream later! This shit got better as it starts advancing throughout the tracklist man, the solo part took me to RETROSATAN(ARG) too haha!. "Myccz Ognisty" is pretty Rock when it begins, doesn't seem to be similar to the first recordings done by the venezuelan act SS ? I think those were also done in 1985 if my head doesn't fail like always. But don't worry, it keeps thrash metal after few compases, good track too. And finally to make you go fuk yourself "Markiz de Sade Vol.2" closes this high quality polish demo. What could have I done if this second chance was not taken ?!!! AH!?! Besides this comes with lots of extras, "Judasz" track recorded in a Radio little bit more extreme due to more aggressive vocals and better production, "Marionetka" recorded live in 1989, "Kydwany Tyranow" live 89, "Niewinni O Brudenych Kckach" live 89 which is a great track and "Zdeptani". Includes great pictures of the time, where there were lots of metalheads around jumping off the stage and so on, what great times those may have been! It also has some live videos where you can appreciate the way they played live... on "Judasz" track there's a kid on the stage, I wonder what's his life nowadays... ended up being a Thrasher?! HA HA! Sadly these videos are really low quality in terms of image, the sound is great, I even think the bassist is impressive, no errors and always on the top covering everything, Reminded me of TORK RAN (FRA) and also DEATH COURIER (GRE) in that matter. But the idea of having these on the CD is quite complete I must admit. But you have to have the means of playing, otherwise you will only get the Audio. This is a CD I would recommend you if you are into the bands I mentioned with an atypical twist mostly because of the vocals; in the end, Polish. JPI VIO-LENS KOMMAND (URY) - Death to Thee Rehearsal tape 2021, self-released. Totally unexpected project with an unexpected touch of deathrash coming directly from my surroundings in Shangrilá man! Believe me I was as surprised as you might be while reading. Some things are outsanding around this tape, first is that instatly you start playing "Untitled" jumps in your face with a typical SEPULTURA (BRA) "Schizophrenia"'s aura but something it's weird on the metrics of the riffs. This is quite slow Thrash Metal track but then "Terror Campaign" pops up with more speed. Vocals are just fantastic because count on things that seem not to be totally determined, like just exploding impulses of the moment. This particular track has a great solo which is in that vein of something that could have been done by Japanese bands like SABBAT(JPN), that scale, you know what I mean. Then a kind of Italian 80's horror ambient opens for one of the best tracks entitled "Abomination", Here you can even see the aforementioned tracks more clearly, this project is a mixture between Hardcore and Deathrash. "Hexen" follows with a line CRUDE SS(FIN) could have then it comes again with that SEPULTURA's line... this time ala "Necromancy" from Bestial Devastation's era but check the next riff!!! Those loose notes man!! That kills me beyond killness... again and again, this riffs are from where the fukin where!? is this Japanese scaling or what?! Next two tracks are taken from their paralel pyschotropic rock n noise project named JP & The Galactik Federation. Those are "Arte o Mierda" and "Beaten, Buried and Dead" which are more into a Hardcore Realm, Rock psycho messyness with outsanding overreverbed clean vocals that I have never heard before in any kind of metal project like this. Second one counts on vocals totally Psycho Punk I would say... "Virilidad" keeps that vibe but coming back again with violent screams, I can think of DL50(PAR) from Paraguay but at the same time reminds me of NAUSEA(US) rehearsals with TERRORIZER(US), those recordings put on split bootleg with the weird lovecraftian artwork, remember? To end this another take of the best track "Hexen" was included, so you won't ever forget it! Yes I feel honoured with this being from my lands, that's not the only reason why I am recommending this, it is mostly because seem they know what they are dealing with, for instance the drummer is the same guy under the drumming in PANDEMONIUM(URY) and I was happy to be in one of their rehearsals so this is no fake bullshit only for digital promotion with no physical releases, this is real. So be aware, these guys are into weirdness tharshing psycho death obscenity! EVIL PRIEST(PER) - Black Seeds... of Creation EP released in 2018 by Crypts of Eternity on 7", the only drawback in terms of design is that the artwork is too dark so becomes extremely hard to recgonize it. Anyway the artwork is quite good and also pretty consistent if you check the lyrics. Side A is the "Black Seeds... of Creation" track which is a classic and traditional Death Metal with lots of doomy parts with interesting riffs and solos. The best as far as I listened to it, ends up being the vocals and solos. Drums are extremely well played by generic in my opinion, the lack of midtempo drummings with tupatupa is what makes it not too appealing to me, I know it's quite shallow what I mean but happens when one is used to deathrash mostly. Side B starts with "Hallucinations", the name instantly takes you to ARSENIC(US) hahaha but it is not that... This begins with MORBID ANGEL(US) kind of riffs, also IMMOLATION(US) influences are present, I think most influences are North American, this time I realise the vocalist has a tune similar to what DEATHLY SCYTHE(Chl) has or even EVIL MADNESS(Chl). This track definately is better, the arrangements are great. Anyway is hard for me to believe they are from Peru, they don't sound like a Peruvian band but like a Chilean one he he, may be ATOMIC AGGRESSOR 2015 album is an accurate comparisson in terms of sound. Let's see what's next from them, it is a good project. ANTICHRIST(SWE) - Forbidden World LP by HighRollerRecords 2011, I waited a long time to find this second-hand cheap 12'', the most impressive about this band is how fukin tight they sound and their whole bombing bag of riffs jumps straightly into your face with outsanding solo works everywhearghhhh and kick your jaw unrestingly... while accompanied by an excellent vocal tune. All tracks are fantastic. I have been used to their demos, and I must say I fukin love their sound on the demos, this recording is a great jump where more effects were applied and more production details were taken into account but I still think demos had something else not captured here. My favourite track still is "Torment in Hell" but here lacks of the "This one is for you Satan" pre-solo... that was a huge mistake in my opinion because it was fantastic the first time I came across with it, to the point I would stick to the demo version forever. Also "Sign of the Beast" is one of the bests along with "Victims of the Blade". Expect nothing more than a swedish militia of thrashing inferno! GAI (JPN) - Extermination EP 1984 Thanks to my friend Joakill (JPI VIO-LENS KOMMAND), I stepped into this japanese HC band. "Extermination" opens this malefic HC attack, I don't count with a huge knowledge on anything but even less in HC/Punk underground, but this is a less obscure version of G.I.S.M.(JPN), it is fantastic! "Liar" , reminded me a lot to DISCHARGE(UK) a kind of disfigured version of "The End" track. "Pathetic Day" instatly took me to the great 1984 japanese compilation Punk Greatest Hits, I think they are also a mix between GISM and G-ZET. "Hate in the memories" starts with a really Punk bass but the vocals are that violent that there's no way that it could be only Punk. "Children, they don't know the war" has a guitar with a high pitch noise that is there from time to time Hahaha is like a driller into your brain, seems to be used on purpose because it appears in the proper beginning of a compass, weird Ah!? HA HA. Then this ends with a pretty boring punk cover in my opinion, from an unknown band to me named SWANKYS-pre-GAI, the track is "Blood spit night". Terrific short EP, thanks again joakill! CONFUSE(JPN) - Nuclear Addicts EP 1984 another recommendation by joakill, fuk this is pure speed anger raging from the bowels of the rising sun lands. All tracks are fast furious and rebel, "Poeple are nuclear poisoning" kills and the name too. This one starts with "Indignation" and the phrases in this one and the aformentioned track reminded me, because of some phrases (not the music itself) to what IMPERATOR(POL) did with their Livedeath 1987 live tape, that vomiting pronutiation ARGH! "Hate (is it war?)" is influenced by DISCHARGE(UK)/MOTORHEAD(UK) with some soloing behind the bulldozerinyourface bass where you can remember SODOM(GER). "No Victor" is also in that vein. The whole damned EP is perfect. "Disaster" pure violent manifestation of Hardcore with some arrangements also ala DISCHARGE but faster, always fast and powerful. Guess what, it also finishes with a track named "The End..." more noisy here but not worse. What else to add... 80s japanese glory! THE EXECUTE(JPN) - The Execute 1983 EP , this one I was looking for, finally got it. After listening to the great japanese compilation previously mentioned here, I got into what bands like GISM, THE CLAY and G-ZET did separately, but this one I did not. Now I can write about their first EP which is more punk than what they recorded for the compilation, I can see this one as a mixture between ACCUSED(US) and DISCHARGE(UK). Honestly, it is good but I still prefer the faster tracks included in the compilation, may be I will have to listen to it more in detail, for now I say it's OK. 'Hardcore Temptation' 1983 EP , the second one, I think the same about it. Finally their third EP named 'Criminal Flowers' is awful melodic Rock or whatever when starting, then second and third track are in the old vein. The tracks 'Slash' and 'Moron' are in the DISCHARGE vein I used to remember from them. This got a little bit better but not outsanding either. This is a bootleg compilation I found so includes the recordings of the spectacular tracks 'Voice' and 'Sag' that were included in that aforementioned the compilation. Definately the compilation took their greatest hits. I will stick with that one. ARMOROS(CAN) - Debut Assault Demo #1 1986, this sounds just like an 80s rehearsal, a mixture between SLAUGHTER(CAN) and CRYPTIC SLAUGHTER(US). This band was never something I enjoyed too much, but this demo I hadn't listened to it, I gave it a try and I still don't get crazy with it, I will have to re-check their full-length since I know it was faster, for now I just can say this is not outstanding for being from Canada, but is always good to dig in that graveyard. INDESTROY(US) - Demo 1986, another band I know everyone enjoys but I do not, now I checked the demo, I can asure it is good. I admit it has excellent sound and few great moments, but they are just a few, the track "U.S.S.A." is really good. "Ground Zero" track has some riff I have listened in D.B.C.(CAN) for instance and vocals are really in the line of AT WAR(US), those can be appreciated in "Braindead" track. It is not an excellent band but the demo is ok. DEATHPEED(JPN) - Rehearsal 1987, this spectacular mid-tempo japanese death metal. There's no too much to add more than what a bunch of great riffs, because this is instrumental and opens the gate for what came later. DEATHPEED(JPN) - Possessed by Speed Demo 1988, spectacular name for a demo unleashing its horror with a bass intro named "The calmness before the Storm", evident reference here he he. This band counts on an excellent composition between drums and guitars. Vocals are not that good in my opinion but are not bad either. Previous rehearsal has better sound, this is more noisy but it is not bad. The thing you realise here is that tracks are really lengthy (7-8 minutes each). I happened to find some Brazilian influences here too. I think I got to them years ago when first getting into DM chronologically, I used to like them even more, but this one could be checked to experience the progression in the japanese extreme music scene from the 80s. I don't know if "Death of Civilization" has another vocalist but that line is much better than what was done in previous tracks. Thanks for these Pat! FATAL VIOLENCE(US) - Demo #1 1985, totally unknown to me, after the well done intro ala ACHERON(US) because its slow phased vox you come across with a spectacular armonic continued by a fantastic solo and a high pitched scream in "Faces of Death" track. This is a classical thrash metal/power/speed in the line of bands like ABATOIR(US), RUNNING WILD(GER), SLAYER SA(US),ZOETROPE(US) and vocalist has a tune similar to RUSH(CAN) but more metallic with some expressions ala Rob Halford/King Diamond. Guitar works are killer, impressive solos everywhere. I will have to check this in more detail later and I also do like the sound of the guitar which seems not that typical. Thanks thanks thanks Pattata! FATAL VIOLENCE(US) - Demo #2 1987, they changed vocals and little their style more into a MOTORHEAD(UK)/AT WAR(US)/METALLICA(US) way which is not as good as their first demo, the sound also improved a lot, but ... don't like it that much. IMMOLATION(US) - Demo 1989 , this one has tracks from their next famous LP "Dawn of Possession" but the best on these tracks is the vocals which are much more ripping and the sound of the guitar which is not as polished as the one on the album. If you were living the progression of this band this demo was something that could have kill you. I was always a fan of Vigna's way of playing, because he has something unique in guitarristic ways, I have lost the track on their newest releases but he has never lost his touch. This is an excellent demo and the selection of tracks is excellent, "Internal Decadence", the killer "Burial Ground" and "Despondent Souls". Re-listening to this I realise the vocals were almost in the line of C.Barnes in "Eaten back to life" era. Nothing more to add, it is a tremendous demo and finally I could get a copy of it. Thanks again Pat! VOMITOR (AUS) - Roar of War demo 1999, is hard for me to check something from a band unknowning what its origins were. The line is just the same I mentioned in the previous review I wrote, but vocals are much better and the sound is raw! A fukin ROAR OF WAR! What really drew my attention is that this is totally influenced by the 80s sound, something quite hard to find in the 90s recordings, and even more when you realise it got done almost at the end of that decade and I believe few bands were still interested in playing in this obscure deathrashing ways. A total aussie gem, Highly recommended and I don't know if it's me but I believe this band was forgotten, no one ever mentioned it to me until they started being exposed by mayor labels some years ago, may be the death metal decadence during mid 90s kept them hidden under the shinning pentagram. WARTHRASH(BRA) - Studio track from 1988, this band was a pending one in my chronological order for bands to checked. This is pure Thrash Metal holocaust. This can be compared to ATTOMICA(BRA) also influenced by SODOM(GER). Great recording, why have they recorded only one track? Probably money... Their upcoming recording is their demo #2 from 1989, sounds great but not as good as their first studio attack. Luckily this one has more tracks, I can also perceive influences coming from AGRESSOR(BRA), SEPULTURA(BRA) and KREATOR(GER). Another one that deserves to be next to my deck for some good time for in depth listening.Crude Thrash Metal, Recommended!.

Hello there bastards from the deep underground. I have been working like a nerdo fuk so little time for der Musik this time. But, I also tried to invest little time to make this site more confortable, for me mainly, but also for those who read. Hopefully, this is not that badly done and will remain like this, if this gets fuked,well... may be I will have to get back to the previous version, invertedcross your fingers. Here ya go! VOMITOR(AUS) - Prayers to Hell demo 2016, this name was around my head quite a long time now... I am one of those that still write down some names on a paper in my notebook to be checked out in the future, when I can get something physical from them. This time, my generous, long-time friend and almost the only one I know is still around digging the underground in this lethargic lands, mediocridad, gave me this as present, I was surprised as fuk since they are from Australia and if this was coming from his side I was sure this was something I would like. OK OK... to the point, this band has something in particular that made it through my anxious ways... the guitar tune is just like AGRESSOR(FRA) !!! (Neverending Destiny era) Man!!! even the riffs are in that vein! You can find amazing riffs, and weird ones that one could think, hey... that's just awfully played, but it is weird in the good sense because after a compas you got it right there! this lunacy comes only from that lands! always with that ancient brazilian vibe that was present since the beginning of aussie's extreme metal bands, vocals are great and takes you to SARCOFAGO(BRA). The whole tape is excellent, sadly the lyrics were not included here. SMUT(US) - Don't die compilation 2018 , this US Thrash Metal band sounds exactly as if it were recorded in the 80's... guess what... it is from the 80s... the insert says nothing about the first tracks... but bonus are from rehearsals in 1985, so I don't know when first tracks got recorded... this band has some great riffs, vocals and dirtiness reminded me of AT WAR(US) demo, and they are also a power trio, drumms are well executed for these weird riffs. Sadly first track 'wild' cuts when you are getting into the mood... 'Snuff' is the second one, all tracks are as short as their names, believe me... but are straight to the point, no bullshit, great track followed by 'Hook' which could be a kind of polished verison of NECROVORE(US), also made me think of TERMINAL DEATH (US) because of the enviroment. Besides counting on not too long tracks, some are mostly instrumental like that last... how the fuk this guy didn't scream over that sound of madness?! 'Convulsion' is great too... a kind of slower version of SACRILEGE BC(US) one could say, check the guitar dancing over loose notes, what do you think? 'Mass Murder' also lead me to the great vocals of DAMNAKLEEZ(US) even the atmosphere of the track. After all the names I gave I think is pretty easy to realise you will enjoy this with no doubt ha?! Now was time for the self-titled 'Don't Die' with its Thrashcore thundervolt in hand... does it scream 'Death metal ,don't die' ?! HA ha if that's the case, what a great phrase HA HA! And closing the mess around... 'Shot', what a consistent recording, it is in your face. Recommended. Never heard of this project before, thanks again my beloved fuker mediocridad who also sent this brutal stuff to me! By the way, it was released by Syrup Head Recordings, but I had to search it, the tape only has a release ID not the name of the label... weird ah? Side B is the bonus stuff, recordings from 1985 that sound awesome! even better than the aformentioned tracks... 'Wild', 'Mass Murder', 'Instrumental' and 'World Malefice' are these... also two rehearsal tracks were included to close the side, 'Placenta' and 'Snuff', vocals are better on the sideA though, but do not disappoint at all! INTERMENT(Fin) - Life here after EP 1991 , wow man, I told you I was not getting into anything 90's related but this demo is totally fluent, fuk I like it. Vocals are nothing remarkable, are good, in the vein of DEMIGOD, DEMILICH(FIN), you know 90s growls from finland that seem they were speaking with shit in their mouthes HAHA ... but the music, the riffs and the so creative drumming is fantastic. This is a three tracks demo, pretty consistent indeed. This one I can recommend with no hesitation... and this tape was thrown in my room as if it were crap, FUKK! This happened to be reissued in 2016 with some rehearsal tracks that are also fantastic! even better may be! weird stuff! RECIPIENTS OF DEATH(US) - FINAL FLIGHT MLP 1990 by Wild Rags, this band was unknown to me until I visited the metallic lands of Santiago in chile some years ago, my friend Victor (Insanity) told me 'you will love this shit', and at first I did not ha ha, I need my time to check stuff I don't know and their first LP is really really raw and badly recorded, but kills beyond killness!! ended up being one of my favs years after, that line of fast and obscure thrash like SADUS(US),THE UNSANE(US), SACRILEGE BC(US),HEXX(US) and this are just top classics. Well, this MLP side A are just two tracks! ARGH! it is impossible not to compare this 12'' with the first one, because the jump on audio quality is fukin abrupt! Sadly the music is little bit slower, really perfect sound, drums are spectacular but not that fast, rythm guitars are quite simple comparing it with what they already achieved, vocals are perfect like always, little immitation to Araya's ways but who doesn't love that!? What one can see on this, is that even though they kind of perfectioned themselves, the agression was kind of lost. I totally prefer the omonimous 12'' but this one is also good for having it in your collection. SAVAGE GRACE(US) - Master of disguise LP 1985 - I don't have this, I don't know why I checked it out and I kind of forget if I read about them on a fanzine or was it a recommendation. The thing is that here you listen to IRON MAIDEN(UK) full of cocain! HAHAHA this is a fast Heavy Metal with Speed Metal and a vocalist that sounds like both, Paul D Anno and also Bruce Dickinson, giving a kind of Power Metal aura (but not the awful comercial one), from time to time you can listen to the similarities to both, a total fan of them for sure! The spectacular sound of the drums is what takes you directly to CRYPTIC SLAUGHTER(US)'s Convicted LP, is saw raw fast and agressive that blows your fukin head just when the album starts! I would buy a CD from this recording for sure, for the sake of having this album at hand. Side A is really good one, side B has two good ones and the rest is kind of boring. But in the end it is a good LP. If you did not know this band or don't remember how they sound, well you should get to listen to them and enjoy! LASTWAR(POL) - Darkness in Eden compilation 2011, this is a kind of mediocre version of VADER(POL), the demo with the same name was released in 1992, is the one starting this comp. Honestly, nothing remarkable for me. Only for Polish collectors surely. SILENCE(POL) - Last Warrior demo 1989, total german Thrash Metal worship here, you can dive among old SODOM(GER), KREATOR(GER) while listening to this, again, for being from these lands, this is not remarkable. It is okey for polish grave diggers. This version includes a Rehearsal track which is better than the whole demo, sadly it is instrumental only. SCARECROW(POL) - Deo Optimo Maximo 2016 split compilation, includes the demo 'Embodiment of Evil' by the project of their bassist and drummer. It really got me! The vocals are really violent, the sound of the solos man! that's crude rock n roll! Really weird project, the 'Kurwa Matka' track starts with clean vocals then great screams and crying babies hahahaha fukin fantastic. The production is raw as fuk, great demo. Some guitars are like black metal, but vocals are that excellent that I just don't give a fuk... and as you might guessed... totally sung in Polish. Really short tracks. This is followed by some instrumental tracks taken from a rehearsal in 1991. Wow man if those had vocals! The sound, despite being a rehearsal, all seems much more compact, and much more Thrash Metal and even due to its speed I could say Death Metal, little bit more technical too. Then the INDULGENCE(Pol) demo. This was indeed taken from SCARECROW ashes, sadly vocals are not that good for my tastes, but the music is solid as fuk in the same vein that last rehearsal was. One sad thing about this compilation is that this demo was taken from an awful sound, really bad digitalization where you can notice shitty digital mistakes on the sound and it was taken from a lossy source, it's not a WAV file on the CD but shitty mp3(check the waves and you will see the peaks at 15khz like any other bad rip) , shame on this crap, really awful man! At least one can get 'Deo Optimo Maximo' demo, the rehearsal is also mp3. Don't buy it! GODDEFIED(Swe) - Inhumation of Shreds 1991-2009 compilation, thanks to my friend Hellavenger I ended up checking this band, first three tracks are taken from a demo of the original monicker 'Enshrined', 'Assembly of the Dark' is the name of the demo, quite good demo, you can get some UNLEASHED(SWE) vibe from time to time. It is followed by a quite Doomish demo, which was unreleased before this compilation, I would like to know if this was the first recording by the band under the name of Goddefied. After these two quite good demos, the following demos are part of the tons of Swedish bands with that downtuned Boss Heavy Metal pedal full of bass, taking you to NIHILIST(SWE), DISMEMBER(SWE), ENTOMBED(SWE)... and this list could be endless. For me only those two aforementioned demos are good, the rest just doesn't feel like when I first got into Swedish DM, anyway, I have never heard of this band before. HETSHEADS(SWE) - Promos 1991, I started listening to this thinking... ok... another clone... happens to me all the time with swedish sound, but honestly this one, despite having some of those ingridients from typical Swedish DM, it has something else I cannot explain, that funny groove that makes you shake your head... don't know... I definately will dig more in detail on this one, I found it really interesting in the end. The first promo sounds more professional, the second one is rawer but not worse, in fact something reminded me of the allfukinmighty LEPROSY(SWE), I am quite sure it is becuase of the vocals and some chords with tupa tupa drums, and not to forget, AUTOPYS(US)'s doomish creepy parts are also found here. Thanks again Hellavenger! GROUND ZERO(JPN) - Gate of Death EP 1987, well another introduction by Hellavenger, this one totally surprised me, again, I have never heard of this band before, Just in the moment I played this, I thought, man this German Thrash Metal band kills! Then I started recognizing something weird in the phrases, they were from Japan! ARGH! Excellent Thrash Metal band with few touches of Crossover, mostly on chorus parts. The tracks have that German touch but it is different, I can listen to some VENOM(UK), ONSLAUGHT(UK) and even ANNIHILATED(UK) among DEATHROW(GER), ASSASSIN(GER) but with some North American tocuhes, probably METALLICA(US) or even DEVASTATION (Texas), and I must say some riffs made me think of ATTOMICA(BRA) too. A live bonus was included where they sound more Speed Metal mostly because of the vocals. Then 'Etherialize' first EP follows. Here the vocals are totally japanese and is in a vein more into Thrash/Speed/Power Metal, really great... I can think of a Thrasher and cleaner version of DEMENTIA(JPN). This is mostly because they started with a vocalist,Itoh, and then on the Gate of Death EP, Kawamura the guitarrist, did the vocals duties. I can even recognize this kind of japanese way of riffing that can be found in SABBAT(JPN) and GISM(JPN), for instance last track entitled 'Yutal Ridatsu' which it even closes with a riff from 'Holocausto de la morte' from NECROPHAGIA(US)! Thanks pal, this is something new to my collection of dubbed ones, probably another tape that will be around my deck for some time. MEGA SLAUGHTER(SWE) - Negative Bitch 1989 demo, 'Pschologic Terror' unleashed the violence on this demo of pure Thrash Metal attack coming from Sweden, honestly lots of riffs came into my mind while listening to it but I cannot mention band, shame on me! I could say CENOTAPH(ITA) from Italy, but they were much into Death Metal than this track. Vocals are perfect for their sounds. One can also find those CELTIC FROST(SWI) grooves from time to time. 'Mangled Bowels' follows and seems a DEATH(US),SLAYER(US), MERCILESS(SWE) all mixed with some strange guitar cuts that kill! Totally unexpected. This three tracks demo is extinguished by 'One Second', here you can say they could easily have been formed as a Hardcore act with no doubt. Great demo, again again and again, thanks Hellavenger! MEGA SLAUGHTER(SWE) - Death Remains demo 1990, this ones pops up with an intro similar to the one in 'Bestial Devastation' LP, This demo shows a natural progression of the band, vocals are not that good as in the previous demo but are not bad either. I can also feel that UNLEASHED(SWE), NIHILIST(SWE) vibe, it has something different and could be the double bass on drums from time to time where you can think of a little bit more Thrasher version of those. MERCILESS(SWE) also seems to be there because of the compositions, but as guitars are more down, is hard to realise it. Not bad but the previous is quite unique.

NECROFAGO(BRA) - Desire for Blood Demo 1987, this is an amazing demo with incredible vocals, seems guitars are downtuned and the vocals are deep, this demo was reissued in a Compilation with the stuff from NECROFAGO from Mina Gerais, but this guys are from Sao Paulo, the music is totally different and one can easily think "hey this is just another band" or "how could they get worse in terms of sound?". This demo is pretty great and obscure, and I remember seeing the 12'' in the house of a friend of mine. Never realised about this fact since never bought it and never care... Anyway, recommended demo, is pure Thrash metal with a death metal voice and some tremolo from time to time. You will enjoy it believe me, and for those years it has a great sound, I could compare this with MASSACRE(US). NECROFAGO(BRA) - Burtal Mutilation Demo II 1988, these guys are not the ones listed above, they were from Mina Gerais, Just by how they looked back then, with the picture included in the tape insert, ala SARCOFAGO(BRA), SEXTRASH(BRA) or HOLOCAUSTO(BRA), you could expect something like Back/Death/Thrash metal, they were kind of noisy, I hardly see any difference with the aforementioned projects but with a lower quality, this demo sounds like a rehearsal. If you are into this vein of Brazilian stuff you will love it, no doubt. I just think they were a hidden project because bands around did better with better sound and by the time some of those already had their released LP under Cogumelo. HELLPREACHER(US) - Resurrection demo 1986 - RE by LifeEternal Prods, well besides being extremely well done on 7" including insert with "Texas Scene Report" which tells the story about the guitar player and includes old flyers, these guys are the Thrash Metal version of MACABRE(US) mostly because of the kind of riffs and vocals rythms, check "Parricidal" track for instance! The sound of the guitar is like HEXX(US) for example in a little bit rawer version. This 7" sounds excellent! AH man only 3 tracks and one rehearsal track hahaha I definately wish it had more! SLAUGHTER(POL) - Into the Darkness 1989 demo now on 12'' by Olschool Metal Maniac/Thrashing Madness polish label, these label did a magnificient work on it, is a fat vinyl with great ancient sound, spectacular top quality insert with photos and a great interview with the involved ones. I was really shocked by the fact that PIEKIELNE WROTA(POL) drummer played here! I had no idea about that, that's another gem from the polish underground. I was told by Life Eternal Prods Thomas that this would kick my face instantly, and honestly it did! You can think of projects like IMPERATOR(POL) before their allmighty "The Time Before Time" LP, for instance the Death Live '87 demo atmosphere and the aforementioned project of the drummer mixed with some Brazilian music from the ancient SEPULTURA(BRA) era and in paralel some raw DESTRUCTION(GER), the intro reminded me instantly of "Sentenced of Death" MLP and totally thought of OBSCURITY(SWE) because of it speed and insane vocals and POISON(GER) kind of riffs can also be heard! Vocals rythms and tune also reminded me of the allmighty ANGKOR VAT(URY) from my country! You should check the fantastic track "Assassin"! Killer project totally unknown to me, I bought the 12'' just for the sake of being surprised and luckily it went that way man, highly recommended! Thanks thomas, you were right! DIAMOND HEAD (UK) - Lightnings to the Nations 1980 LP, when you think about the beginnings of NWOBHM cannot avoid this name, or should not... even though this is quite famous and if you feel like overwhelmed by the repetition of huge names and avoid bands, that happens to me lot of times, this one deserves attention in detail. Why I say in detail here ? because, as I previously stated I am psycho manic fuker in terms of guitar players, here you can hear and feel the JIMMY PAGE style and also IOMMI's even in some guitar tunning, I know almost nothing about guitar skills nor scales but you will surely recognize some scales later used by IRON MAIDEN(UK) in the track "Transylvania" track, I am talking about their track "Sucking my love" track. Well you will also recognize METALLICA(US) 's way of speed riffs and the "Am I Evil?" cover and why they were quite picky about it. This is an LP that only has 7 tracks, but the length of some are impressive, for instance "Sucking my love" is like 09:30 minutes long... and it does not bore you. All tracks are recommended and the whole album feels great. This is a total gem. MOTORHEAD (UK) - Overkill 1979, As you might read before, I was not into MERCYFUL FATE(DNK) but now I love "Melissa" and I was never into MOTORHEAD (but yes into all the bands they influenced) but in this case I am still not in love with them. I totally perceive the influence they had because bass is on the top of your jaw, crunchy and dirty, you have some great riffs and Fast Eddie is what draws your attention instantly when the first omoniumous track starts. Thanks to this album one can say GIRLSCHOOL(UK) where an interesting clone and I fukin love GIRLSCHOOL. One can also recognize some RUSH(CAN) influences, for instance the track "Limb from limb" has a riff that reminded me of "Working man" from their first LP Rush 1974 ARGH I wish I had it! This album must have been the key to a whole new experience for those into extreme music; hardcore acts, black metal acts, heavy metal acts and thrash metal acts intended to develop this into further realms. The music itself shows you unstressed musicians who wanted to play dirty and who cares what someone else thinks?! I still think some ideas were taken from JUDAS PRIEST(UK) at least in terms of drums... three years before, one of the best albums was already out and I am talking about "Sad Wings of Destiny", by the time these guys were probably finishing their first LP named like the band, but that first album , the first thing I ever listened from MOTORHEAD; for me was boring as fuk... I don't know, some things just don't fit in my brain, I find it dull, boring... I am not interested in it at all... I listened to it many times throughout the years with any luck. But this one did make it in my brain at least in some points. I am not going to say I am one of their fans, no I am not, I'm saying this album is good, has its good things and I am writing this as a mongoloid who never listened to it before and even not at the proper time. To understand the real value of this album you should have never listened to any Speed Metal, Thrash Metal, Hardcore band before in your life! Anyway, I did my best to understand it and position my mind in the proper timeline, it is hard, but is an album that should not be avoided either. I will be heading towards their next releases in the future. I think that for those years, the vocals seem original and totally rebel, probably shocking... but how can I tell if I already know violence in music? that's the sad thing about discovering stuff in the wrong frame of time... WOW (US)- Kommander of Chaos 1984 - Talking about MOTORHEAD(UK) and GIRLSCHOOL(UK), this is another band totally inspired by MOTORHEAD, drumming is the first thing you notice about it. And some riffs too of course. I never enjoyed THE PLASMATICS(US), dull punk, sorry folks... but yes, I found it like that when if first got into the name Wendy O. Williams... this is the only album that really drew my attention because starts with rawness and power with its track "Live to Rock", this album is quite weird, it has a live track in the middle of its tracklist, probably because they wanted to keep the message spreaded by Wendy, "Ain't none of your business", this one is really punk and quite boring but as it is live, you end up getting in the mood. All tracks are pretty killer but the one I did not understood its lyrics was "Fuck that booty" HA HA ! "work that musle" ??? HAHAHA no man... My couple told me "then metal seems to be not too far from cumbia in that lyric ah?" HAHAHA fuking right though... This is a great album anyway. If you like speed metal and fem vocalists you will definately love this one. I even recognized "Warrior whip your horse" riff from KIM SIXX (DNK) in "Goin' Wild" (first riff) and they were contemporary, impressive! BLACK VUL DESTRUKTOR (ARG) - Volition+Adoration+Destruction demo 2008, This band became part of my life when I first knew Javier while he became part of the band as a guitarrist, who ended up being one of my best friends from abroad. In this demo and the following he was not there yet. This demo provides a good starting point for the project being into Black Metal ways with lots of tremolo and good riffs that are into Death Metal, so it is indeed a Black/Death metal with the south american touch on the top of it with a raw production that creates that environment of filthy and somber Black Metal. As I firstly got the other demo, this one is good to check for retrospective purposes which makes the click to understand how they started. Good demo. BLACK VUL DESTRUKTOR (ARG) - Bestial Obscure Metal Caos EP 2012, For me this is the real deal of the band, great EP with 4 tracks, where "Vul's Temple of Invocation" got re-recorded, and super tracks like the openning "The Torment of the Illumination" and "Altar" break your neck. For me they achieved something unexpected if you were following the previous demo, this is more into classic death metal, lots of tremolo on guitars, bass is constantly pressent with a high tremble so you feel the strings, lots of sounds take me to "Bestial Devastation" from SEPULTURA(BRA) and vocals from time to time, where some lunatic screams take place, you can feel MARTIRE(AUS) from Australia. All tracks rule and "Death Posture Transmutation" riffs vocals drums are fukK YEAH! This is the best from them even though I think that from here on, the band got more skilled and professional and all their tracks in one way or another, keep their essence and nothing can make them bad at all. I was lucky to share stage with them twice, their shows are killer and they sound spectacular. If you think they could cheat you playing live, you are wrong, they play and sound just like in their recordings and even better because it's fukin live! BLACK VUL DESTRUKTOR (ARG) - Necromantic Live Ritualization 2018 , live split tape of them with IMPURITY(BRA) from Brazil, a project I just don't like. I kept this tape because I traded it with the B.V.D.'s vocalist and having a live recording from a band of some friends is pretty killer. I cannot recommend this one in a generic way, this is something you must have only if you enjoy live audio recordings. I normally don't, but as I said, this has something special for me. All the tapes I own from them were released by Diego, the vocalist, under his own label "Black Kaos Descent" and this last coproduced with the label by the guitarrist Javier named "Cabra Negra". I think I still count on some tape artworks from "Bestial Obscure Metal Caos" EP , not numbered, for trade dubbed tapes in case you could be interested, get in touch! SEPULCHRAL DEATH (HOL) - Praising Death demo 1986 , this is a raw recording, obscure for the time, I remember getting into this name because THANATOS(HOL)'s drummer was also part of this project, and thanks to my bastard friend from this lands I could also get a recording a rehearsal where he takes part, he did not on this one. I cannot say this is a remarkable recording but is not bad for the time, probably more obscure than other project but the lack of quality makes it quite difficult to shine. Anyway, this is part of the beginning of extreme music in that european area. USURPER(HOL) - Chants of Traducement 1987 demo, well SEPULCHRAL DEATH(HOL) evolved into this band because the name was easier to remember, I Read that in a fanzine and that's why I asked for this recordings, I never knew that the band existed after SEPULCHRAL DEATH' death, anyway for me that moniker was much better but the music from USURPER is fantastic! And here we have the evolution in terms of quality and also in compositions, this is more clear sound, great music, little bit slower probably, not that obscure but it is a great Trash Metal demo , I can think of ASSASSIN (GER) and I feel some German touch from here and there, probably the guitar riffings and tuning. Excellent demo. Vocals are quite insane, mostly in first track I don't know what happened to the guy in the rest of the demo, feels as if he got tired or less interested in screaming Hahaha. USURPER(HOL) - Demo #3 1988, doesn't ATHEIST(US) ring the bell on this one!? Kelly Schaefer vocal tune is just right there! Well another recording from these guys that goes further in terms of smart compositions and arrangements but not bad at all. Still extreme. Only three tracks of a not that technical kind of ATHEIST, some that are not too much into them could be interested in this project, for me ATHEIST were gods but this one is also good. A proper continuation of what they have already done in the other demos. Impressive how they strated and in what they ended up. KnNHNKa(RUS) - ...HNWTRK, KnNHNKa 2002 , Compilation from 1986-1991, but the tracks in m-a seem to be take from 1988 to 1991 so I don't know why the inlay says 1986 or why m-a says 1988... this is a funny band, starts with a live recording from 1988 ? with stolen riffs from THE ROLLING STONES, the next track stolen riffs from LED ZEPPELIN ? Hahahaha, sung in Russian barking insanity. The inlay shows a Piece & Love symbol haha this is the first time I come across with russian hippies!? HA HA HA , anyway, it is excellent, I only checked the stuff when they played Thrash Metal and not this, I found it extremely weird, nothing that I was expecting at all. Following tracks were taken from the second LP. The music is still violent Hard Rock, lots of blues, reminded me of RAVEN(UK) first LP "Rock until you Drop" (an excellent LP by the way). In this compilation, I don't know why the fuk the 8th track was included, sucks badly... is like folk music. From the 9th track and on you have tracks traken from their first 1989 LP "NoTepeÑHbIÑ 6NneT" (hard to find as fuk as far as I remember) that are crushing thrash metal, first intro is quite long but the music is fantastic. Purely agressive thrash metal in the russian anger ways! This is the best from this CD. I was about to buy a couple of this release but our borders are closed for some countries and no one said anything about it in the post office!! Anyway I got WAV's and I can burn my own CDs and print the covers. This compilation tracklist is quite weird and I don't understand why it was done in that way. I wish I could get the first release only in its original order, I think the order of the tracks was also altered here. Beside the drawbacks on this compilation, this is a great unknown release. What the hell this guy is saying about DESTRUCTION and ANTHRAX ?!! HAHHA listen to that intro please! I cannot stop thinking about the fact that this drunk bastard enjoys talking a lot! HAHAH! the intro with a JAZZ piano in the background man WHAT!!!??? Hey really what does the russian vodka has in it?! FUEL! APOFENIA (ARG) - A Cold Night's Death demo 2018, tape by Despreciable Realidad, this is young band from San Luis, Argentina which was formed by two sisters (vocals and drums), their first demo was OK, second one better, but this one is beyond those, it is a classic Death Metal project totally influenced by bands from USA like DEATH and AUTOPSY, but it has a raw sound and makes it great. Vocals are excellent, far better than before. This along with NARCOLEPSIA(ARG), PSICOSIS(ARG) and FUNERAL WHORE(ARG) are the best death metal projects I have listened from that country in the last few years, and all count on female vocalists. I am really glad they made their way throughout the scene, if there is a scene out there. Everything is well done on this tape, it is highly recommended, the only bad thing I appreciate is that the artwork aesthethics is almost like the masterpiece MLP "Deathcrush" which at first glance it really disappointed me, but the music did not and it is the most important. I hope they release something else in this vein soon. Regarding the previous short story about my satanic lust in guitarrists I forgot to mention one of all times popular favourite... yeah, JIMI HENDRIX with its JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE(US)... let me tell you something, there's a show from him in 69 in England, where you can definately see he was extremely ahead for the time... check his habilities with the wahmmy man! he was a total deathrasher almost 15 years before its existence hahahaha amazing. And I mentioned JIMMY PAGE, "The song remains the same" DVD has one of the best shows I ever seen in video man! And I must tell you, Danny Corrales from AUTOPSY(US) also kills in his drinking sessions recording solos in the DARK CRUSADES DVD! HA HA did you watch his flying guitar!? And for the sake of mentioning some of the most impressive guitarrists of all times, my fav is the Steve Vai of osbcure death metal, the real king of chaos, the real azathoth, the unholy TREY AZAGTHOTH besides the bastard child of JOE SATRIANI, yeah... I mean the Yog Sothoth of extreme metal, the keeper of the gates, MIKE TORRAO! enough said... CHEERS! HUMANDEADENDS(GER) - Demo 2014, Arghh Fuckill Records released this tape, I own a dubbed one, my friend bruno has the original so I dubbed he he, This project is from my friend Alex from EXPULSED ANGEL(GER), he is at drums here, surprised me man, pretty skilled psycho fuker ... this is a primitive NAUSA(US), is mid tempos and Hardcore guitars, reminded me of CRUDE SS(SWE) at times, hardcore with extreme vocals , is this called Crust? well, the vocals are done by a lady which surprised me, this is great. I cannot state this is the best you will ever listen to because it is not, this genre is quite boring because all copy the same classics, but it won't disappoint you if you see it around, you should get this tape, the artwork is quite shitty but the music and the pictures plus the lyrics are great (short lyrics but consistent). What happened to this project Alex? By the way, I was in fukin love with the name of the record label! HA HA! MORBID FAITH #12 is OUT! Get it or die fukin lazy fuk!!! Tons of underground contacts, recommendations ,flyers ,etc,etc... total devotion here no false bastards! Also distributed by my label upon request. Ohh and thanks to all the readers, I was amused by the fact that some bastards from this land also read my site and requested my ANTITHEIST AGRESSION(URY) mediocre CDR! Makes me feel honoured to write here, it was not just a waste of my spare time hahaha!

04-05-2021

I am quite obssessed by some historic facts about bands and guitar players. For instance, as I am a fuker who tries to play the guitar, it's almost impossible to avoid guitarrist who happened to be guitar heros of all times. I love the insane guitars by STEVE VAI(US) , JOE SATRIANI(US) and some others who kill beyond killness. One of those beloved ones died a couple of years ago, for me he was the best, not only because was an extreme guitar player but also because was humble and kept himself with a low profile despite being the king of the surf guitar, yes, I am talking about DICK DALE(US), may your ashes become part of this cosmos my pal. Why am I mentioning all this crap? Because I bought some CDs I was missing from SATRIANI and I thought it could be funny to mention them. For instance, is unbelievable the similarities in some compositions taken from decades ago. CHUCK BERRY(US) 's riffing for instance, I always knew he was damned important but never care about that, then I suddenly came across with an compilation of his works that blew my mind in some ways, because I could identify lots of riffs later used by THE KINKS(UK) ! Yeah man, "Cadillac" track has his riffs, "Too much monkey business" too and plenty of others. Then I remember also that the huge DUANE EDDY(US) had an impact too on DICK DALE, a pretty obscure blues I may say, if you check blues of course. And for instance, you also have LINK WRAY(US) 's "Black Widow" riffs in METALLICA(US) 's "The Four Horsemen", I have never read about this kind of influence ever, may be I am a total ignorant, but I love the fact of finding this kind of crafting-riffing insanity. Not long ago I mentioned TED NUGENT(US) 's influence on MERCYFUL FATE(Dnk) 's HANK SHERMANN, sadly this mongolid US patriotic fuker who is too traditional to be a hero, he did his thing anyway to be a guitar legend. But don't buy his crap, he is just a fukin stupid, I could compare him with Tramp ! HAHA! I am trying to remember some others but for now I think that's it. JEFF BECK(US) is the last I guess, this is a total guitar hero... Ohh! Don't forget the fukin FRANK ZAPPA(US) ! I fukin love Hot Rats album!!! STEVE VAI was his aprentice! UHFFF I just remember the KENNY WAYNE SHEPHARD(US) with his "Ledbetter Heights" album which I don't have sadly! Totally influenced by STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN(US)... Well, the thing was that... history is history, some little details may drive you to get into realms of the unknown! wrote quite fast fast fast because I have been manicly anxious with my job and little spare time but one manages to write, read, fuk, drink and DEATH DEATH DEATH DEATH!!!! CONVULSE(FIN) - World without God 1991 LP, I traded this bootleg tape with a guy in Paraguay when I was there, the name was always around my head but never checked the band, I kind of lost interest in Death Metal in its so-called pure form, there are bands that to me, they sound all the same, same guitars, same tunning, same drumming,etc,etc... I haven't been listening to much 90's DM if you read this page, you may have already noticed that I'm totally into deathrash, the best music in the planet of course. This album is just one of those albums, probably good back then, because sounds perfect, the music is extremely well done, the vocals are good and they are from Finland, but anyway, to me, they are not that good... quite generic indeed, sounds like OBITUARY(US) , DEATH(US), BENEDICTION(UK), DEMIGOD(Fin) among some others and I kind of get bored easily with this. It moves me at some points where I say "Hey man this is good" but honestly, it is good but because it comes from somewhere else back at the time... This is going to be in my list for trading because is where it belongs in my opinion. NECROCHAKAL(Gre) - Trampling the Holy Gospels EP 2016, I got this tape as soon as It went out through Escafismos Records, my friend Edin's label, only checking first track you could think is a typical Black/Death Metal act but is not, just the second track "Defile the name of Christ" is pure Blackened Death/Thrash Metal, funny because I had forgotten this fuker at the vocals screamed "HIJO DE PUTA" (son of a bitch in Spanish), Ha ha Babis was a really funny guy! Hahahaha, in fact his vocals are pretty agressive and give the best for the tracks, some riffs reminded me of a primitive Brazilian Thrash metal mixed with more European acts like AURA NOIR(NOR) , my favourite tracks are all but the first one. Recommended tape if you see it around. D.V.C.(US) - Constrictus Mortum demo 1989, this is and advance demo for their following LP (which I haven't checked yet), this is a well played demo, sounds great ( I traded it again because my tape sucked badly ). The characters in the monicker mean "Darth Vader's Church", what a childish name ah? HA HA. Anyway, the music will rip you appart instantly, it has some rare groove to compare with another bands, vocals are grotesquely insane and the picked distorion for guitars plus bass make a great combination for what you hear. Some feeling in the music make me think of them as if they were kind of progressive but in the end they are not really that, is a well done Death Metal approach with some good creativity which puts them as an original band I must say, I will have to check their LP but I am scared they fuked it all up with that release Ha ha, at some point I think it is a cult band because that LP was done by Wild Rags and some friends already mentioned me this project, but ... who knows? I must check it. This adv. demo at least, if it is exactly this on an LP I wouldn't doubt on getting it! ANARCHUS(MEX) - Total Hate demo 1988, this surprised me in terms of audio quality, because since I read the Mexican Underground Metal 1984-1994 fanzine, I was quite expecting awful sound but this demo sounds really good just like a quite well recorded rehearsal but really good, bass is really in the front and kicks your face, the primitive stuff is in guitars because the mid-distortion gives a really raw sounding. This demo is great, I did not understand the tracklist, "Antichrist" from SEPULTURA(Bra) is included as a cover before the two last tracks but not listed HA HA! a really raw version of it I must say. This band totally reminds me of DEATH YELL(Chl) 's "Confessions after Death" because its vocal tune in each fukin track. I would say this demo is more Death Metal than what was done in "Final Fall of the Gods" EP. One should get this demo right away because is marvellous. ANARCHUS(MEX) - Final fall of the Gods EP 1990, this EP was a huge kick for the mexican underground, an excelent quality noisy death metal grindcore attack. Still cannot avoid DEATH YELL(Chl) but this is less DM in some ways. First time I listened to this honestly I didn't enjoy the vocalist... but this EP deserves to be checked regulary before being disposed off, you won't regret it, it is violent violent violent!! When I say this EP was important, it really was, after recording the audio this was mastered by Morrisound Studios, and it was possible for them to play in USA which was "a big deal back then" - Info taken from Mexican Underground Metal fanzine 1984-1994. TOXODETH(MEX) - Phantasm Demo #2 1988, how the fuk a label could not be willing to release such a powerful band at that time, this demo sounds awesome fukin chaos terrifik fukk!!! This is the first time I listen to this fukin masterpiece of the mexican lands! ARGHH What I have been missing for such a long time! "Splendor Dead" opens this insanity and the vocals totally blew my brains out of this cosmos, the vocals have nothing to do with what got recorded for the LP. Then "Doom Predictions" follows, all these tracks are much more Deathrash with less highly skilled guitars ala neoclassical stuff, honestly this is much better than the LP, may be I am being tough with the LP but sounds even better! HA HA, vocals are in the growling parts of AGGRESSION(CAN) and DECEASED(US), sorry to repeat myself all the time with Kingsly Follwey he he. Guitar tune reminded me a little bit of TORMENTOR(MEX) but not that sharp, improved I believe. OH men this is all fukin great, a total MUST!!! Fast as fuk!! DEATHRASH! TOXODETH(MEX) - Splendor Dead Demo #1 1987 - The first demo from these corpses from beyond. Well this demo is a rawer version of everything I have listen from them, the guitar now is sharp as fuk and drums are lower, anyway killer for the time too, it only has two tracks "Exploiting" and "Prefering the Dark", vocals are again really well achieved with an awful English in some parts that in my mind make this even more special, this time was spectacular for the band, two consecutive years releasing masterpieces for the Mexican underground metal history, totally above my expectations. I checked MA and these two demos plus rare shit from '86 were included in some compilation, something anyone should write down to get sooner or later! DAMNED CROSS(MEX) - Excecration of infected corpses 1989 demo, well this is a extremely primivite recording, the music is not, sadly its quality makes it quite impossible to make their name remarkable in the history of metal. They were probably more huge locally than what could be achieved through tape trading at the time. The drummer is really sick, one can listen to really fast blasts and guitar tune and way of riffing takes you to Brazil, VULCANO(Bra) and 1986 SEPULTURA(Bra) 's rehearsal ring the bell, and again, I cannot avoid mentioning TORMENTOR(Mex). If you are patient enough to dig in the lack-of-quality recordings you will be really able to enjoy this demo and vocalist has something from ANARCHUS(Mex) if I am willing to mention another local mexican attack. KAOS (US) - A brief comment about these lunatics again, I kept listening to this and vocals reminded me a lot to EVERSOR(Ita) and also RANDAGI(Ita), this vocalist must have something from Italy in his roots!! MORTEM(NOR) - Slow Death demo 1989, Insane noise from this lands when Black Metal was yet to explode. This is total Death Metal with some thrash parts, in my opinion influenced by MAYHEM's Deathcrush LP. Vocals are weird though... I am not sure if it is because are full of effects or because it is a noisy recording, anyway the music is good. Listened to them long time ago when I was getting into bands like OLD FUNERAL(Nor), MAYHEM(Nor) and AMPUTATION(Nor), but honestly I forgot them due not to having anything physical, now I dubbed a tape with a tape rip so hopefully that will not happend again, may be yes because of alcohol but don't care, feels great this right now with a cold beer in hand! TORCHURE(GER) - Traces demo 1991, Death Metal with vocals trying to immitate David Vincent's tune and way of singing, at least in the first track, guitars are quite good, I kind of forgot them too... The only band I do remember enjoying from this country in this realm is ETERNAL DIRGE(Ger), but this is not bad at all, I think it shares some stuff with that project and also with ASSORTED HEAP(Ger) (of course this one is more thrashy). "Genocidal Confessions" the second track, first riff reminded me of MERCILESS(Swe) / SLAYER(US), but is not in that line afterwards but has that NIHILIST(Swe) vibe from the swedish scene mixed with a MORBID ANGEL(US) 's aura, the cuts at the middle of the tracks really annoyed me. The artwork reminded me a little bit of Dark is the Season EP from english deathmetallers BENEDICITON(UK). Mmmmm... what to say, vocals sound to me really forced and the keyboards in the first track on side B are out of phase? don't know... bored me. I will have to get their previous stuff just for comparisson. RUSSIAN WINTER(Svn) - A Sign demo 1985 , this is totally a sign of amateurism, not what I was expecting at all. Years looking for it but does not shine at all. Not recommended. ORDER FROM CHAOS(US) - Will to Power 1990 EP, this is a tape I have around for quite a long time... never really cared about it but as I was trying to organize my stuff I ended up listening to it, is a three track tape, pretty intense and raw, I liked it quite a lot, it reminded me of ANGELCORPSE(US) but not that fast, for me ANGELCORPSE was a Blackened version of MORBID ANGEL(US), this has something from ANGELCORPSE because of the vocalist, but music has lots of Hardcore vibes... is a pretty interesting and obscure EP. "Nucleosynthesis" and "Megalomania" are just wonderful tracks. Enjoy violently! I also happened to check their first LP entitled "Stillbirth Machine" from 1992, not bad, seems they developed their skills, some armonics in guitars done with whammy bar are outstanding but I got bored with it anyway. What really drew my attention is that this LP starts exactly just like my own first LP from Pheretrum with the Space Odysey 2001 intro, I was shocked really. I feel kind of embarrased now. If you are into a slower version of ANGELCORPSE this LP will totally suit your tastes. MASSACRE(US) - Aggressive Tyrant 1986, this was a huge band in the underground, commented around fanzines and such because counting on MANTA(US) 's DEATH(US) 's Kam Lee, and little later also Rick Rozz. This demo Rick is not there, a thing that really drew my attention since I thought he was right from the beginning. It has been quite a while since the last time I listen to these recordings, I've never had the chance to get the CD with these. Anyway, I got my dubbed tape now with it and is a fantastic demo, "Death in hell" is a shitty track but the two well known "Aggressive Tyrant" and "Mutilated" are fantastic. On the B side I put "Chamber of ages" demo from 1986 too now yes with Rick Rozz, the difference is kind of huge but not only because of him but Bill Andrew skills are hellish here with much more thrashy doble kicks. This is a kind of preview of what they did on "From Beyond" LP but honestly, this sounds much much more enjoyable, "From Beyond" has that too clean/perfect sound were drums are just like plastic, typical 90's sound, I think one must invest years listening to metal music to realise things like this, at the beginning I remember not noticing these facts but I remember reading on fanzines the critics, and now I can say it is indeed true. These two demos are marvellous! Raw sound for extreme music is just a must, no doubt about it! Something else to mention, vocals are much better too mostly because its uncompromised highpitched insane screams. HELLAVENGER(Chl) - PROMO MMXXI 2021 tape, this is one of those wonderful things you receive when you are into trading, When I first got the first demo from this manic beast, I was totally absorved by the artwork, because the art seemed to have at least two versions, The one I got stated "Underground tape trading version" , man I was insane by that, with the now well known logo by "The Iron Legion". This time I am part of the official distribution version, which I am doing by myself with my Extreme Resurrection label, and the art has a wonderful blank space for label logo which makes it excellent for this purpose. So if you are an Uruguayan fuker out there, don't hesitate on requesting your copy, is TDK+artwork really cheap to cover costs no more than that. And regarding this wonderful tape, when you first start listening to it, you get the idea that this is coming from a Black Metal background, the first riffs are in that vein and vocals are almost identical to what Benja's (GLORIFICATION(Par)) did in their LP, but suddenly this takes a huge twist into more Thrash/Black with almost clean vocals (not the awful ones, "Consecration of Doom" track gives you an amazing idea of what the power of this voice is all about!) which takes you to what TOM G. once did, and the touch of black metal and thrash mixed together, in this recordings is just that, a fukin astonishing mixture, I can't avoid thinking of other acts from nowadays like NOCTURNAL(GER), CRUEL FORCE(Ger). Everyone active in the obscures ways of metal already know Chile has been delivering acts of impressive quality, not only in music sound, compositions, etc but also it's easy to realise people involved in projects like this, know about the ancient ways and the proper knowledge allow them to release such a good music. This is nothing more than another killer recording from a band that has an spectacular future for releasing an EP and/or LP! Thanks my friend for the trust put on my label for distribution! Not the first but not the last time either! Long live the Iron Legions, together as one psycholunatic beast of blasting insane underground metal!!! EXTREME RESURRECTION issues #1-#4 already out, get in touch for buying it. It is US$3 plus shipping. ANTITHEIST AGGRESSION (Ury) - I released in CDR my own solo-project, I don't know how to label it but could be something between Heavy Metal and Thrash Metal totally out of tempo and ugly bad played, etc, nothing remarkable, It was recorded in 2014 and I wanted to finish it before I die so I recorded drums weeks ago and put it out. This is only distributed by request, I won't add this on my label's catalogue so if you think could be interested, send me an email.
