The last words in this fukin christian year; fuk you all pieces of shit, fuk third(fourth, fifth... n-th?) world war, huge strength for those anti-system willing to survive under the feet of these authoritarian motherfukers, I hope you all burn by acid soon military scumshits fukers, and those blinded fuks who support them, directly or indirectly. Besides, I have officially released "Reincarnation" LP by GRAF SPEE(Ury) together with Zzooouhh Records (thanks again my friend !) ; and that label also made it possible for DARKESTHRASH(Ury) and MORBID BLOOD(Ury) to be on 12'' with a split vinyl, it is impressively done! Finally HEFESTO(Ury) was also released under my label with their newest EP co-produced with the drummer's label! And my band PHERETRUM(Ury) latest EP's were released on tape by Goat Vomit Productions in Bolivia and Metallian Onslaught Records in Chile, and finally both of them on CD by Alkohilik Holocaust Records from Argentina, thanks these labels for the help and support to this band. All these small but huge Uruguayan news are kind of forcing me to release the next Extreme Resurrrection fanzine issue, I hope I can keep dealing with my mind to make it happen. This is your oportunity, grab this tape from your local distro, trade or fukin die!!!! Beers up high right on the blackened skies to you my friend, congrats on this marvellous release! NEWS: This got released by the mighty polish label Oldschool Metal Maniac Records on CD! By the way, there's a magazine "Oldschool Metal Maniac" that happened to made an issue specially for SARCOFAGO(Bra) which looks totally promising, you should check that out too!! I will try to! SACRILEGE (UK) - Behind the realm of Madness 1985 - RE 2021 CD by Back on Black Records. "Lifeline" begins in sound and music as if "In battle there is no Law" BOLT THROWER(UK) LP was spinning right here in front of your face, until the more HC/Punk approach of drumming and voice spit in your face. This must have been one of their notorious influences, I mean for BOLT THROWER, in fact, I double checked and "In battle there is no law" demo from 1987 was also recorded in the Rich Bitch Studios, what a coincidence ha!? The whole production of this short LP is much more professional than what I heard before on their demos, but at the same time counts on that rawness we all need, remarking their violence. Also the lyrics are much more elaborated, their direction towards Thrash Metal influenced by HC and Heavy Metal (mostly in solos), is notoriosly not only affecting their music but the way lyrics are written. "Shadow from Mordor" begins as a Heavy Metal track with a really melodic solo, this part made me think of MASTER(US), until the crunchy HC begins. "At Death's Door" , outstanding lyrics here, this vomits hatred against injustice, after the two main paragraphs, music enters into a kind of slower version of "Siege of Power" NAPALM DEATH(UK) , I wish I had some beers right now, on the solo part I could not stop thinking about CARCASS(UK), "Necroticism" era. "A violation of something Sacred" is a memorable one from their previous demo, so no too much to add here, excellent track. "The closing Irony" behaves differently, some details like samples are used, in fact the bells took me instantly to "Seven Churches", begins much more instrumental until Tam shows up with her marvellous screams. "Out of Sight" also comes from their second demo, it's indeed not possible not to relate them with BOLT THROWER, NAPALM DEATH and DISCHARGE(UK) and also ONSLAUGHT(UK) . The whole recording feels so near to what their demos were, that I had to check when this got recorded, and guess what, this 6-track MLP was recorded almost at the same time of their second demo in 1985 ! This rerelease also came with 1986 demo which I had never listened to, three tracks that were lately included in their second LP (which I happen to find very boring). Also two tracks from 2015 were attached on this CD, "Feed" sounds just like any other modern metal shit and vocals are weak, probably aging and crapy modern influences. "Dig your own grave" traveled space and time from their first demo in 1984 til 2015, unnecessary to re-record this. Then two live recordings from 1986 which are excellent, "Blood Run" and "The Closing Irony". I was willing to check this 6 track LP, it feels as if it were the third demo of the band with hell of a grinding sound. In the end, this is an 1985 recording which tells a lot in terms of HC/Thrash Metal cronology. XENOTAPH(ARG) - Real Steel 2022 CD - By Metal Command records. I knew this project but I remember it was too Power Metal/Epic/Lyrical for my tastes, but the other day I was with erik and he probed me wrong, told me this was going to be in a more Speed Metal vein and indeed it was. The music production sound is so 80s that kills me. The vocalist tune reminded me of a mixture among BLOOD SPORTS(Fin), ACID(Bel), DIO(US) and even MYSTIC STORM(Rus) when on clean parts . "Hexenhammer" unleashes what this project is all about, Heavy Metal, her effects on the little screams saying "Witch, witch" are fantastic, great lyrics too. Followed by the omonimous "Real Steel", where I personally think the vocalist should be more loose, more agressive, I feel the intention but she needs to forget the lyrical perfection and replace it with a prominent violence that seems to be in it, here and there, but not intensevely used, which makes you feel there's a lack of power on some phrases, may be is not that and is the fact that goes on a more epic path, this track is great anyway and the chorus is really catchy and counts on that aggression I meant, excellent work on solos. "Mystery" is total JUDAS PRIEST(UK) worship but with some Power Metal approaches, exquisite chorus, really ended up enjoying this track, "Mystery fighting with dark forces... Mystery facing the unknown.." argh!! Even when the cut for little rythm changes took me to a slow version of TOKYO BLADE (UK) first album era. "Fists of Aggression" follows the same influences with less Power Metal and some SLAYER(US) -ish riffs from "Show no mercy" era. "Evil of the night" is fast and powerful, impressive track, astonishing and frenetic vocals, those should be on every fukin track argh!! "Cry of Langsuir" is good, "Last dawn before the end" has the most heavy parts I thought of ACID but then the "Holy Diver" kind of rythms shine out, the solos at the end are terrific! "Overkill" is the begining of the furious end, the tracklist was properly arranged to keep you hooked (on metal) and on the mood till the final fight, the overall strings works are spectacular, the guitars are tight, the bass is present during the whole album and fills every gap it has to fill along with an effective drumming. This is a good release that deserves to be checked. Thank you very much erik for this recording, I'm in debt with you! LEGION OF DEATH(US) - Have a nice Death 1985, "don't rush, sooner or later you will find it", an old bastard friend once told me, in fact, it's part of my daily life, pieces of deathrash history come across with me to fullfill my joy of death; this is one of those gems I have been looking for quite a long while, unleashing it's far-beyond-its-time deathrashardcore with "Condmened to Hell" track, mostly due to its Death Metal vocals along with impressive mixture between Thrash Metal and Hardcore, this blows your mind instantly since the laughter starts, "Fuck you" follows, short HC track and back to the deathrashing ferocity with "Deathride to Hell", impressive track, back again with an short HC track "I fucked your mom", funny track, back again to deathrashing hallucinations with "Excessive Violence", and three short ones "Violent Moshing", "Anti-pose", "Fuck off and Die" which is a kind of march for the insane bastards out there ha ha. Despite being not too long demo tape, has something unique on it, it's spectacular, the sound ,the vocals, what they were playing back at the time, reminded me a little bit of DAMNATION(CAN) even though are quite different and also to ARCHENEMY (US) because of the year. This should not be out of your demo collection at all; I know they recorded several tapes after this one, and the LP, but none of them felt that impressive to me as this one did back when I was firstly getting into demos, and now, it's with me! Hugely recommended. Thanks my friend pat for this, endlessly appreciated! DEVIATED INSTINCT(UK) - Rock n Roll Conformity 1988 LP - RE Pieceville 2019. I don't know where the fuk did I read about them, but probably was it a fanzine or just recommendation when in search of non-stupid attitude bands. These guys are punx playing HC/Thrash Metal/grindcore. Musik reminded me a little bit of NAPALM DEATH(UK) much more HC of course, and the vocalist is a mixture between ACCUSED(US) and IMPETIGO(US) on "All we need is cheez", some groovy parts reminded me also to LETHAL AGGRESSION(US) and the HC parts to VERBAL ABUSE(US) and, I could be wrong, but felt some Japanese influences, like with their last track playing something similar to "Liar" from GAI(Jpn) . May not be the best, but if you are looking for a project in the vein of the aforementioned projects who seemed to be warriors of the underground in their time, well, this will meet your needs, their totally made my day! LAS BRUJAS(ARG) - La Reencarnación - 2013 Compilation by Metal Soldiers Recs, this was done in a really proper way by the label, lots of pictures, lyrics,etc... the thing is, and I won't waste my time with more words, this is a really awful band, boring, not interesting at all. Vocalist is a cheap copy of what Roxana from SUPER RATON (ARG) have already done before, music has some riffs cloned from JUDAS PRIEST(UK), GIRLSCHOOL(UK) and the overall sound as if it were RIFF(ARG) in "Ruedas de Metal" but not at all that good. Don't buy this crap unless you really need to. I bought it because I was curious about them claiming they were the very first female band from Argentina... and also because I had a track from them in the compilation tape named "Latinos y Metalicos", but doesn't worth it at all. DEATHLY SCYTHE(CHL) - Darkness moves over the abyss Face 2022 EP, astonishly done, again by, Life Eternal prods. Spectacular artwork and also the paper used for it, looks totally ancient and the combination of classical colors like black white and red, fuk... brillant. Most important it's music of course, these guys have achieved to follow a kind of same line of what they did for "Celestial Darkness" LP, but for me, being a deathrasher, this is quite better, when this opens with "Heaven's Demise" I realised the black metal aura they used for the LP was not so present, in my mind this was a better approach, in this particular track I felt the intention of a kind of MORBID ANGEL(US) influence in tremolos, "Morbid Funeral Chant" also followed that path, again on tremolo's but also in drumming with much more blast beats, midtempos after them but also with that brazilian vibe ala SARCOFAGO(BRA), HOLOCAUSTO(BRA), SEXTRASH(BRA) and the likes... guitars are much more simple in terms of tremolos but solos became more into, again, in the Trey Azagthoth vein, which I fuking love of course, and the mixing is a total worship to POSSESSED(US) which was always a kind of first influence on them I believe, among with DEATH(US), PESTILENCE(HOL) never losing their chilean nature. Something interesting, they included "Deathlike essence of time" track with a fade out, leaving you with the power of wanting more and more, fuk! What excellent idea revived from VENOM(UK) on "Black Metal" album where "At war with Satan" intro was included. What else? Trade/Buy it fuker! Thanks joakill for this unvaluable gift! ENGLISH DOGS(UK) - Forward into Battle 1985, RE 2018 del Imaginario Recs, I am not too much into this label's work, most of the time they alter artworks, etc so Is not one of my fav labels, anyway, most of the time the cheapest option and good to have in hand when needing to check new stuff, this was the case, sadly this CD did not include the lyrics and only a poster with sidenotes of the recording and composition of the whole LP. This starts with an excellent introduction named like the album, it reminded me of the introduction of "Raiders of Doom" by the mighty DEATHROW(Ger), and followed by "The Final Conquest", I was coming from "Mad Punx and English Dogs" EP , where the vein was Hardcore Punk totally english with their pronunciation of words, that EP was good but nothing highly remarkable; not long ago rapidly checked their first LP which is more punk, not my thing, then I read these guys went into Thrash Metal due to changing vocalist/guitarrist, Gizz Butt joined the band and something changed; they indeed started playing Thrash Metal music with vocals totally Hardcore, I think this is the first recording I listen to where one can have the brain splitted in two by this fact, you hear thrash metal in one side, of course, with a HC essence everywhere, and on the other side, you get a HC vocalist perfectly suited. "Ultimate Sacrifice" begins in a kind of "Overkill" by MOTORHEAD(UK) , also finishing in the same way! , then fast thrashcore to the bone, lead guitars are astonishing, I fukin loved the arrangements here and there, the solos, everything, totally super. "Ordeal by Fire" begins as if it were "Show no mercy" from SLAYER(US) and suddenly has a shocking change into a kind of viking march with a weird scale, lyrics are kind of epic and go totally along with the artwork; which is impressive by the way. "False Prophet" gets more HC with those solos,arrangements... the last solo starts just like those solos from Gary Holt If I am not mistaken, just the beginning, the drumming sounds just agressively hardcore, the whole production is very english which in some aspects reminded me of ANIHILATED(UK) . "Wall of Steel" is another fantastic track influenced by BLACK SABBATH (UK) which keeps you just in the mood, the screams are great. "Nosferatu" , I cannot avoid thinking of HELLWITCH(US) ha ha but this has nothing to do with them, may be only with the first pick-tapping at the beginning which is quite Patrick's signature, can yo believe this band has such a creative fuker on guitars?! I also realised that the effect on vocals when the chorus saying "Nosferatu" were kind of DECEASED(US) on "Birth by radiation" ha ha ha! "He that is bound shall be freed" from time to time the vocals reminded me of HOBBS ANGEL OF DEATH(AUS) . "Five days to Death" I thought it was a rock n roll as soon as it starts ha ha ha , these sutil details make the recording quite dynamic, great SLAYER-ish track. The culmination of the recording gets delivered by "Brainstorm" with lots of changes, pretty fluent Thrash Metal and Heavy Metal altogether. My last words for this spectacular recording are, this is a really well developed english hardcore along with north-american and german Thrash Metal with british heavy metal spices here and there. Brilliant for the curious! A total masterpiece! GLORY HOLE(Ita) - Infestation of Evilized Deformities 2013 tape, this was found by my friend bruno long time ago among their next releases under the monicker PRESUMED DEAD(Ita), but this was much more into my kind of beers. In fact we spent some good afternoons drinking beer listening to these italian deathers. Even though this project introduces nothing new to the genre, and probably not their intention either, the combination of a great vocalist plus excellent riffs influenced by the north-american school along with excellent horror environments provided by the arrangements on guitars made this absolutetly a great recording. All tracks are fantastic but my faves are "Necrolust", "Death by Deformity", "Mass Slaughter", "Infestation of the worms" and "Fucken Evoked" just not to mention them all ha ha! I dubbed this one but if you come across with it, you should definately buy it! They totally rule! If you read me bruno, when are you coming back to the attack of tapes n beers!? Харон(Rus) / Метастаза (Rus) - Demos / Шесть таких, как я, RE 2020 CD by Metalrace Recs again, reviving the ancient Russian thrash metal as it must be. What to say on this, Харон is furious thrash metal with lots of Аспид(Rus) influences, I mean a lot, but not that skilled and not that well professionally recorded, and also KREATOR(Ger), anyway, have you ever listened to this monicker in your fukin life?! Also harmonics reminded me to the glorious 1991 - Крюгер(Rus) demo!!! ARGH , sorry but yes, besides being drunk while writing, it was the project I enjoyed the most on this split. Метастаза reminded me of Аспид too but in a КГБ(Rus) way, because it is fukin skilled but also the tracks are longer, some DEATH(US) influences here and there too, mostly on their Death Metal parts with tremolo, arranged as fuked and not that furious but good anyway. This split is excellent to have if you are are having an special fukin russian thrash metal hunger. Curious fact, I believe these two bands were released together because Sergey Pnyov, the guitar player/vocalist in Харон, was also in Метастаза... I had no idea he was also part of Hellraiser(Rus) in late 90s, never been a fan of this last one but yeah... interesting. I have to finish this short review thanking Metalrace Records for doing their best to send me this stuff whilst the post offices restrictions, etc ; it was hell of an odyssey but yeah, got it here in the end, huge thanks pal! This is highly recommended for those willing to enjoy the russian thrashing ways. Get in touch with the label n fukin get itahhhhrghhH!!! PLAGUE (Bul) - The Repulsive Enthroned demo 2020, dubbed one from my friend Joakill, excellent weird and original Black/Thrash/Death Metal project, nice sounding and great weird vocals used, almost clean vox plus growls and fat sound on guitars. Some approaches on tracks reminded me of ALCOHOLIC AGGRESSOR(Arg) and SARCOFAGO(Bra) with no doubt . These guys have a couple of previous demos which I wonder how they were... Interesting to take notes and try to get them in the future. I loved the intro with a horror violin and storm, spectacular way of introducing this demo. You will experience schocking riffs and blasting drumming with great vocals and some technicall riffings too. This is a good catch from these times, I think their origin plus their sound makes them original and worth it! Женская Болезнь (Rus) - 1я леди в СССР 1990, a Single, what's so particular about this single track? It's from Russia, from USSR era and it's a women project!!! unbelievable man; I never thought something like this could exist at all... Musically speaking, is the typical thrash from that place/time but sadly it lacks of real drumming and has a sampled drum... What a pity.. anyway this is in fact a weird recording; Is there more about them? someone has something else in a proper digitalization!? Fuk... this totally left me willing to know more about them! The name of the band translate into Women Disease, HA! absoultely great to check, let's see if I can track something else from this rarity! By the way, there are great pics here: https://www.guitaristka.ru/index-bolezn.shtml where you can check there was a real drummer, I wish I can get something more with the real drummer! FDP(Fra) - Death, Terror and Extermination demo 1988, dubbed tape, I got this one long time ago but I never quite stopped and listen to it properly, It was just thrown on my endless pile of tapes soon to be checked. Well side A is a great thrash/death metal approach, mostly Thrash but death is because of the deep voice, not fast but heavy, "Death, Terror and Extermination" , "Nervous Land" are pretty good, "Tom Slayer" reminded me to NOCTURNUS(US) "Before Christ, After Death" track on some parts, this side is great. Side B is "Medical error" in the same Thrash Metal line, "Illusion in darkness" is the last good one and then a joke track named "Luck to songs????" . Good to dig in the french abyss once again. It's not a remarkable project but not a piece of crap either, expect a good rehearsal sounding. VIOLENT ATTACK(Par) - Demo Rehearsal 2003, dubbed tape , this is a great mid-tempo Thrash Metal pretty obscure for its time, their remarkable footprint was always the vocalist plus interesting riffs full of classical thrash metal mostly influenced by the german wave mixed with latinamerican thirdworldness. Despite being a demo, it sounds terrific. You can hear everything clearly. Nice to have if you enjoy this band! VIOLENT ATTACK(Par) - Violent Attack 2006, live tape, another one from my dubbed ones, this, despite not enjoying live recordings, is a great one mostly because all tracks are well played, you can feel the aggression and passion besides these are demo tracks. You will get a thrashing vomit with "Thrashing with hate" , "Destruction and hate", "M.A.B." and "Nuclear Crossfire" plus a cover from SEPULTURA(Bra) , "Troops of doom" and HELLHAMMER(Swi) , "Messiah" , this live took place in 2004, then side B is a live recording from 2002 where you can listen to tracks from their first LP like "Violent Attack" , "When the barbarity reigned" and "Brain dead" in a raw live version plus "They shall pay" and a cover from VIOLENT FORCE(Ger) , "Dead city" . I cannot state this is fabulous but if you are into live recordings plus this band, which left quite a good legacy in their lands, well, you should totally get it! MORBIDITY(Rus) - Don't Demands Impossible 1998 , this a Death Metal/Grindcore project similar, in sound, to what DEATH VOMIT(Rus) did , but not that amazing. I don't like this project too much, but if you are willing to experience something on that vein, may be this suits your needs. RIPPER(Chl) - From Prison Hell demo compilation, dubbed tape, this is an excellent compilation gathering all their pre-LP demos, including some tracks from their first rehearsal. "Destroy the World demo" from 2009 is spectacular, I believe that's why the tracklist was listed like that. For those unknowing this project, I believe they were one of the first bands participating in the worldwide chilean deathrash explosion from 8 years ago, or so. I knew them by their first LP "Raising the Corpse" which I believe is one of the greatest releases of those times influenced by acts like DEATH(US), PESTILENCE (US), CYNIC(US), SEPULURA(Bra) and the likes. On side B you have "The Exit" demo which is a little bit faster and obscure due to its production with tracks that were later part of their album. At last , their rehearsal. Retrospectively speaking, they were destined to rule, it is impresive how technical they were back on those demos and what they achieved. I fukin love their first LP and I thought I already wrote about it before, but seems I did not. Well, you should get into this project if you haven't already done it! RIPPER(Chl) - Fatal Memories EP 2013, Metaltifus Prods tape, probably a preview of what was going to happen when their first LP got out. Tracks from their LP can be checked here but with an spectacular production if we compare those with their previous demos, anyway, all their recordings are high quality, the progression on the production plus a little bit more violence on vox make this EP so appealing that the wait for an LP was going to be an imminent agony! HELLBASTARD(UK) - Ripper Crust demo 1986, dubbed tape, "Intro" makes way to "Nazis Killed..." , great title for a great track, begins inspired by SLAYER(US) at first glance but then is totally inspired by CELTIC FROST(Swi) , I cannot avoid thinking of DEATH STRIKE (US) , street thrash metal , slow but heavy track that has an unexpected end which leds to "Massacre" which is also heavy but turns faster, mid-tempo thrash metal with riffs ala SEPULTURA(Bra) . With "Deceiver" we get more CF worship but with a vibe much more into hardcore I feel early NAPALM DEATH(UK) too . "Insanity" gets right there into the hardcore energy needed. "Death from Above" right into early ND again, spectacular track. "Life? for who" you can think it was going to be speed metal with those loose notes on the riff, but turns back again into their style with a disturbing solo that flows along with the voice, during the whole track. "Kill or be killed" again CF worship intro, much hardcore that goes with that line. "Outside Clastrophobia" more early ND, on the mood with mid-tempo thrashing drums. "Skag Kill D.Pushers" which is about destroying drug pushers and this outstanding demo fades out with "And nowwwww..." which is a joke, phrases here and there, funny though. As you may have expected, this are anarko punk thrashers which all their lyrics are about social topics, anti-system. This is an absolutetly recommended project. BURNT OFFERING(US) - Death Decay Demo 1987, this is hell of a highquality demo, these guys were total fans of DARK ANGEL(US), EXODUS(US) and POSSESSED(US) , I feel some canadian influence too but at the moment I cannot recall, I can think of DBC (CAN) may be; This is a six track demo full of energy, tracks are "Leatherface" which is killer and sticks in your mind, "Desecration" kills, "Black Blasphemy" great one too, "Prisoner of War", "Beware of the Axe" nice and last "Power of Death" which also sticks and kills, and during the whole demo I think the drummer stands out. I knew them by their first full length which is a little bit more produced and little bit faster, but this one is totally enjoyable, I doubt if it's not better! and if you haven't checked them yet , well this is an excellent entry point. Does some one ever checked their first demo from 1986? Thanks again pat for trading this one! JPI VIO-LENS KOMMAND(Ury) - For one night we woke up with eyes like stones, tape 2022 by Extreme Resurrection Records 50 copies. A somber introduction embraces you into an obscure aura, entitled "From the depths he'll rise again" followed by a mid tempo riff and spectacular spectral voice on the track which is aligned with the deathrash realms, that track is "Powerslave Humanstake". Later on, "Decomposition", this high scream ala SLAYER(US), along with the fantastic rythm guitar takes you to a kind of brazilian vibe influenced by SEPULTURA(Bra), in overall terms, the brazilian kind of tremolos are present everywhere, the solo arrangement along with the rythm are exquisite. "The pale blue sky looked through the eyes ov obsession" with its slowly dying tempo and an intricated riff, with that fat guitar tune comes directly from BLACK SABBATH(UK) infuences, kind of progressive I would say; until the feast takes place, insane deadly riffs with fast drumming and vomiting-chaos vocals. What really amuses me is the impressive rythm changes, those make this release not only unique but complete, totally catching your neck until destroying it in the end. Then "Hexen", Isn't this related to "Chemical Warfare" ? AAAARGHHH!!! What an impressive start, which continues in a kind of mixture of SEPULTURA's "necromancy" along with some SABABAT(Jpn) kind of tunes... fuk fuk... check the changes in rythms... absolutely crushing deathrashinghardcore spirit until it fades into an agonizing impressive demented mix between the rythm and the solo!!! ARGH yes please!! All that melts into "Brothers ov eternal flames" that flows into a hardcore riff with choruses and the likes, this is totally astonishing for the uruguayan shitty lands. Side B begins with classical music, imagine "Morbid Visions" from SEPULTURA, "Final Holocaust" from MASSACRA(Fra), to explode with the spectacular track "Terror Campaign", it's magnific how the riffs start evolving into arrangements till the end. "Arythmomaniac" begins with noisy intro and breaking glass, then pure awesome tremolo and repetition of the title, impossible to forget, then you get that cut with slow parts, like disonant (whatever it means in the musical theory hahaha) and again with more tremolo screams and amazing solo which turns into a ball of noise and chaos screams of blasphemy, impressive. "Vio-lens Kommand" begins as if it were a kind of war march, suddenly with notes as if it were Heavy metal, interesting, and hell yeah more tremolo with more vocals of mumbling death like a furious barking motherfuker, when you get to the slow part choruses repeat the title of the track with a kind of inverted rythm which twists your fukin brains and more tremolo til the end. "Abomination" is one of the key tracks on this album, have you ever listened to a deathrash project using a kind of small trompet!! Ha ha ha, this is pure fukin amazing, is pure death hardcore, fukin amazing track with hell of arrangements as small solo parts, then you get to the begining of the end with slow ryhtm and a kind of post-apokalyptik solo, I see images of earth's death with this one, and it dies on an outro entitled "He for whom each drop of blood is a seed", indentical to the opening. This is a masterpiece done in 21st century which, as far as I believe, has carved by fire a keystone on the historical records of extreme music in uruguay. HEFESTO(Ury) - Raw Cruelty EP tape , 2022 by Extreme Resurrection Records co-released with Morbid Horus records also from uruguay, my friend fukulo's new label who is now playing drums on the band. These guys improved immensively since their first demo, Speed Metal was included as a key component on their compositions; their approach towards riffs is completely superior and rythm changes make their tracks tight and fullfilled, the arrangments and solos are terrific. I found the whole production equalized with too much bass in general terms, I liked a lot the arranges and little phrases between the guitar duo, and the CRUEL FORCE(Ger) aura is even more notorious, I think they found their vein on that mixture with that band and BATHORY(Swe) . Vocalist is little bit more aggressive than before and I think his voice is what makes this EP so fluent, I guess I could also compare them with the second EP from EURYNOMOS(Ger) "Eye of the Pantheon" . In the end what makes me feel this is not superb, is that the whole tempo they used in this release is a little bit slower than live, which is expected, but at the same time what I am used to, fuk I wish this were faster, anyway, as I firstly stated, this is hell of an improvement for them, besides this gets better on each listen! This EP starts with an weak intro and then "No survivors" fails initially with a loss of power on the beginning, the mixing on drums did not helped, after that, the track is good, "Loss of innocence" follows , BATHORY's vibe is present but also METALLICA(US) riff changes are there too, "Taint the nuns" begins pretty good, I liked the riff and the thrash drums, chorus vocals took me to a kind of DEICIDE(US) ways... great work on vox, phrases made me think of "SDI" from VIOLENT FORCE(GER) and mid tempo drumming with chords on axes reminded me of THANATOS(Hol) . "Napalm breath" explodes with midtempo drums plus excellent catchy riff, speed!!! "Night chants" another great track, keeps the same vibe than previous track and then adds something unexpected to me, it was a kind of Viking Metal approach pretty weird but works excellent on the track. To finish, "Warlords" another killer one, these last three tracks are the best, I found some phrases on vox that took me briefly to TOXIC HOLOCAUST(US) . This is a great release and I hope they can release more stuff soon. For those interested in black thrash metal, these guys are unique in uruguay. Support the underground and get it!
