SANCTIFYING RITUAL (Ger) - Sanctifying Ritual 2020 , CD Iron Bonehead prods. Well, unexpectedly my friend Thomas from Life Eternal prods included this CD as gift on the last pack I got from him. This is pure Death Metal, at first listen I thought it was quite South American, after more listenings I found some notes that take you to Swedish DM, MERCILESS (SWE) is also present in some parts, the rest is just North American DM , you can listen to some clear influences coming from MORBID ANGEL(US) (Covenant era), few slow parts ala AUTOPSY (US), some interesting resemblences to what was BRUTALITY (US) (When the sky turns Black era). Vocals are excellent, you can connect some expression on the voice that will remind you of MASTER OF CRUELTY (Par) and also EKRON CULT (Par), the whole recording is perfect but not too clean which is great. Besides starting without any intro and just going straight to your face to suck your brains out, this counts on an spectacular artwork, looks totaly from the early nighties and not only because it looks ancient but also because the pictures are just brilliant. Thomas told me this place is no longer avaible to be visited by public but the pictures where taken before that, they took place somewhere in Mexico, they are unbelievable. This is indeed a great discovery. You should get this album right away and do it now because it is fresh! ZNÖWHITE (US) - All hail to thee MLP , wow man... I thought this could be a point of destruction for the band, sometimes demos are marvellous and an LP ruin the career of a band, but in this ocassion that's not the case. I know this MLP provides nothing new more than the sound, which is fukin astonishing!!! The vocals are so loud and clear with great pressence I believe this lady is just screaming in front of my face! man I definately have to get this one sooner than later!! MERCYFUL FATE (Dnk) - Mercyful Fate 1982 EP , this is exactly what I was hoping to listen, an innocent and humble approach to what was achieved in Melissa 12'' . This is magnific, another gem in the history of Heavy Metal, nothing else to add. Influences and relevant information I already mentioned in my Melissa's reviews. These four tracks are just terrfic. CANCERBERO (Chl) - Guardian of Hell demo 1988 & Perpetual Agony demo 1991, these demos were reissued by Warhemic Prods from US, a well known underground label that has been helping underground project since quite a long time I think. This demos were perfectly reissued in a great quality tape. I only remember quite well the first demo from 88, and I totally forgot the '91 demo... I think I know why, it's more experimental in my opinion, despite counting on "Into Death" track that cames from the rehearsal demo from 88 , with a better sound and played better, I still prefer the original one, because it was more raw, primitive, and the awful sound of the guitar for arrangements made me vomit on this one, what awful idea they had for such a good track. "Feña's Flight" is a great track and the guitar sounds as if it were Russian! it's totally instrumental, what a pitty for such a great track. "Forgotten Reality" starts as if it were a Raul Guzman track (remember him from the allmighty TOXODETH (MEX) ), full of classical playing, impressive solos. Sadly it becomes quite shitty after the great intro, gets better when the vocals start, vocals reminded me of the greek act NECROMANSY (GRE) and is full of insane reverb/echo; then again that shitty idea of guitars playing disgusting arrangements... this time are lower in volume than in "Into Death" track so are not that annoying. In the end is not that bad. I liked it. And this demo is finished with "Carnage of the Dead" again with that piece of shit arrangement!! Fuk man! I cannot hate it even more! why the fuk!? Anyway, after the intro it gets better but is not a memorable track at all. This tape includes an unreleased track from 1989 entitled "Eternal Hellfire", not bad. As I said, I prefer the first demo from 88. And in relation with 1988 rehearsal demo, as I said "Into Death" is fantastic track, obscure Death Metal from chile in 88! "Dark Message" is the second track, the very same vein. The whole demo is interesting enough to keep you on the mood! "Guardian of Hell" is hell of a track, its first riff is great, then get's even better when faster, vocals are astonishing and sound little bit higher than previous tracks which helps a lot, the obscure passages are excellent, I know some of them I listened before somewhere but I cannot recall where, may be it's because I listened to this too many times! HA HA; I think SADISTIC INTENT (US) could also be compared at some points with this act. This rehearsal ends with "Pestilent Vomit", starts really crushing, in fact it took me to a slower rpm version of a SLAUGHTER(Can) track, was it "Maim to please"?! now I think there's from where I think slower parts come from! the Surrender or die demo ! exciting as it is, this demo is what really gave them their huge name in the underground. I must thank my friend mediocridad who gave this to me as present quite long ago. Was it you right!? HAHA CANCERBERO(Chl) - At the portals of the evoked Blasphemies 2012; I got this through trading long ago and now felt right to listeng to them along the stuff I already had. This is an impressive album despite counting only with the original vocalist/bassist. Songs are all well structed and the production is raw what makes it really appealing, the artwork is excellent too. I think is not the very same old CANCERBERO I know, but I can hardly say it is bad, it really sucks to know that the ones who composed the mighty 88 demo are not here anymore, mostly because I am convinced that a guitar player cannot be disposed off and keep the name of the band, strange cases where other member is composing guitar lines are the ones that could deal with something like that almost properly, but guitar lines among drumming are the essence of a monicker... anyway, the 91 demo was not excellent either so that could lead to different approaches to music inside the band members, here you can get a good piece of an album coming from Chile and also easy to notice that. Some good riffs from time to time, some others well known riffs too... vocals are great and thrash metal influences are more notorious than before. Does not disappoint at all! CANCERBERO(Chl) - Malevolence EP 2013, the following attack from these guys, I think this has a little bit better sound than the previous attack but in terms of compositions I could tell you these tracks could have been done during the same period of time. Starting track it's the omonimus "Malevolence" which is totally crushing, fast and chaotic; pure Death Metal. Continues with "Arrival of the Pestilence" which is another magnific track, I feel this EP much more consistent than previous LP, I think energies are towards strict rules for each tracks making each one of them increibly powerful with any lack of interest, I mean, you totally concentrate on this one without losing the track, may be that was not totally achieved in the aforementioned LP. "From the impipous Hell" counts on a really well known riff but my poser mind failed miserably to remember what it was, I think it was from DEATH(US), fuk my mind! "Praise the beast" with its mounstrous start falls in a classicl tremolo style to end in a fast and agressive cut for more insanity, pure blasting hell properly done. This great 5 track EP finishes with "Slaughtering the bastard", a great piece of EP indeed, pure classic style and raw sounding never losing the essence. Its cancerbero's art is also fantastic, simple and effective as fuk. I would buy this one with no hesitation! TERROR STRIKE (Chl) - Executioner Thrash Metal 2008 demo, well this 4 track demo made my day. I was about to put it in my trade list beause I thought it sucked... but is fantastic, great obscure Thrash Metal, the omonimous track is just excellent, great vocals, great fukin crushing riffs and totally Chilean from this era... solos are amazing, the whole demo is highly recommended. "Child Rape" second riff is fukin astonishing, I fuking loved it I could not avoid trying to play it... lyrics are quite childish but the essence is fantastic. Top quality tape and what they did after this demo is nothing compared to this! Why man? these tracks are just excellent! Buy it , trade it or die! INNER SANCTUM (Ury) - Frozen Souls 1993 - Remastered release by Disembodied Recs from Argentina , well I am not going to talk about any details on this release in terms of music because is a CELTIC FROST (SWI) clone with some extra uruguayan shit put on the top of it ( like you hear in "Electric Infuences" that have some jazzy stuff) I mean, this is top uruguayan quality stuff but as it is already well known act my words won't add anything new... what I need to say is that the label did an excellent job gathering the whole and putting it out on CD and tape too... this time I am listening to the tape withe a beer in my hand, the remaster indeed was quite a good decision, I already had my old tape signed by Heber (the time he was at my place for an interview) ; and this tape sounds much better, but honestly, like everything is cleaner as I think it was supposed to be at the time because I think it could be indeed compared with "Morbid Tales", yes I know it got done almost ten years after but that's okey anyway, CF was doing shit by that time haha! Whatever fukerhappychotafuker... buy this one whenever you can, one: because it is not expensive, two: because is classic with proper roots, three: is one of those cult bands that are not well known abroad; even they did at the time and even now but in my eyes i think they are still not well listened. Anyway... bands from your own country are special to you because of that very thing... and even more when you knew the mind behind the project. By the way, I kind of hate it now because the comeback and issues related to the bassist/vox fuker... no one can be perfect but someone once told me "beat your idols" so be it! Inner Sanctum ruled back then, the innocent legacy prevails, the rest is nonesense and this project is dead, no return is necessary, in the graveyard is forever in my mind. The only bad thing on this tape, the sides tracklist have a mistake, side A includes "Tears" track that is part of the side B on the list, I think tried to immitate the original version but the designed art failed on it. All lyrics included, the artwork is the original one and the pics include Heber which was omitted by the reissue of Toxic Recs from Chile when he left the band, even being the guy behind the concept! Good night/day/whatever wherever you are! have a beer, enjoy death! (recommended by my daughter during an almost cold night in March. Should I get some whisky?) ALOHA (US) - Demo 1982 , Yes I fukin love fem vox and this is no fukin exception to the rule, I was always astonished by their track "Heavy Metal virgin" included in the Metal Massacre II compilation, I knew this demo existed but I really never thought someone could have it hahaha. I am not a big Marty Friedman fan at all, in fact this is the only stuff from him I really like, Neoclassical music is not my kind of beer. This demo unleashes the fury with "The pit and the pendulum" track where besides getting the right Speed Metal kick in your face you notice the impressive guitar skills here and there with smart arrangements and riffs made note by note. Anyway, "The secret of the stars" is quite boring which is the track that follows, and then the glorious "Heavy Metal Virgin", of course this was the right choice for the Metal Blade compilation because there's no doubt it is the best track. "Beg for mercy" closes the demo, it is instrumental, not bad not fantastic either. Later they changed vocalist and turned into VIXEN(US), later HAWAII(US), none of those, in my opinion, are as good as this one, a 7" Single of "Heavy Metal Virgin" would be such a great release I think! Ha ha! VEXATION (JPN) - Skullcrusher 1986 demo, with that name ONSLAUGHT (UK) is a well identifiable infuence on them, besides it also smells like HELLHAMMER(Swi) everywhere. Fuck Hard 1987 demo includes more CELTIC FROST(Swi) influences, most of the riffs are almost stolen, with the exception of some noisy ones and some original vocals stuff that you can typically observe in japanese acts like G.I.S.M.(JPN) or even SABBAT(JPN), I was really expecting something more into the Death Metal realms and faster, but I waited like 15 years to finally listen to them so I cannot complain man! These, at least for me, are really hard to find demos, but I now believe they are difficult because the band was not that impressive, may be locally in their scene but nothing remarkable in worldwide terms, and mostly because of the years of these recordings, they were not ahead, they were just there. V.O.D. (S.THA) [aka. Voice of Destruction] - Black Cathedral 1992, this is their debut album... I believe I kind of shocked you reading this ah!? Yeah man, you have to dig everywhere for the great graveyards of insanity. Back in the 90s, I think they were quite popular because they were coming from South Africa, and not only due to being from there but also because they were fresh and played a great intense music. My friend Carlos from SHP in Argentina once told me he used to exchange letters with them, I cannot recall if he still has this release or any other stuff from them... anyway I would like to get their demos too but I know are hard. If you know nothing about them, I can tell you they are in the line of BSB-H from Brazil when they were Death Metal in their first LP and also vocals hit at the doors of one of my all time favs from Russia, KRUGER(RUS) (the one with 1991 demo later FRONT), because are sick and sound obscure as fuk, you can get some SODOM(Ger) influences from time to time and IMPERATOR (Pol) or even DECEASED(US). I cannot do anything more than tell you, you should get this for the sake of knowing something rare from a not so active scene, or at leat I believe so. GLORIFICATION (PAR) - Against all adversity - A Hymn of Demonic Victory 2017, by Deathrash Armageddon, I don't know why I haven't written anything about them before, this LP is fantastic, I own the CD from this label, I don't remember if I traded it with my friend Rodrigo, who is now at bass on this project, or if I got it from the label when our album "Alienated Demons" got released. The head under this maleifc manifestations of obscure hell is Benjamin, he is at vox/guitars and probably all compositions and arrangements because everything is so fuking perfectly tight. From the riffs, vocals to the keyboards. Artwork is also a great detailed piece of macabre rebel thoughts that goes really well with the name of the album. Lyrics are against christianity in case you haven't noticed from what the name of the album transmit, they have one written in their matter language from Paraguay, which is not Spanish but Guaraní, this is impressive because I know a circle form the paraguayan underground that are really struggling to keep that tongue alive. Back at the time I got this, the news were that Rodrigo was at bass, he comes from INFERNAL COMMAND (PAR) (his own project) and at the time he was in DL50 as guitar player along with Marcelo (bassist at MASTER OF CRUELTY (PAR) ) but nowadays DL50 (PAR) lineup suffered some changes that kept them out but awesomely, Benjamin is doing vocals right there... I believe this manic guy was a great addition to DL50 and even funebre told me that. So cheers for this malefic fuker and do not forget to get this recording because kills! It is hard for me to compare them with something, I only noticed some VARATHRON(Gre) influences in 7th track but just small ones, remember I never got further with them than "His majesty at the swamp", may be some POSSESSION(BEL) from Belgium just to name an newer act but not that slow nor black metalish. EVIL MADNESS (Chl) - Hidden Behind the Cross EP 2018 CD by Vulkan Records, this is a magnific Thrash Metal EP, is totally influenced by VIOLENT FORCE(GER) mainly in vocals, I cannot get rid of the track "Vengeance and Venom" when listen to this EP. As far as I remember their first demo tape I had, named "Scars of Blasphemy" from 2008, they were a pretty obscure Thrash Metal act almost death/thrash... fast and agressive as fuk. Their riffs are excellent in this demo tape, and really in the vein... with vocals near to what Rogga from MERCILESS(SWE) could do back in the days of "The Awakening", this of course should have been a really close influence to their sound. The art was a handmade drawing which goes perfect with this and I remember it had a fantastic vomitting outro Ha ha! Ala WEHRMACHT (US). Then I also bought their Split CD released by Deathrash Armageddon where they appear next to INFANT DEATH (Nor), besides realising something was missing there, I could not avoid to compare what EVIL MADNESS had already done in the past with this one, seems that they switched from vocalist... the bassist used to doing the great vocals ala Rogga but now they count on their guitar player for this job. I must say both vocalists are fantastic but I prefered their demo era with a more violent wave. Anyway, this split is pretty good, I remember reading about INFANT DEATH somewhere when they first appeared with a demo or something... I remember they were quite good so buying this Split was a must. Nowadays I must say it is a good project, sounds tight and evil and their last track on this CD is "Vicious Attack" and you can really get the vibe of HELLWITCH(US)'s kind of riffs. I was trying to get more information about the band for the sake of reading something from them, like their own website or contact,etc... and MA shows a spotify link ?? hell... their picture in MA and spotify link HA HA that crap totally removed my desires to listen even more about them... May be I am too hysterical about these kind of facts, I mean... I used digital ways to get more information... but the result was awful... Back to the main project EVIL MADNESS which really made my noon. I have never had the opportunity to buy their first full length "Maze of Souls" , this one is still pending in my list, because I think the line is the same as in the demo due to having their bassist still as vocalist. With one vox or another, the band expose a Thrash Metal ferocity which is highly recommended. Since the first demo up to now you can trust they won't disappoint you. BATTLESTORM (Sin) - Demonic Incursion 2010 - RE 2018 CD by Trauma Records from Colombia, I traded this with the label, which I also happened to receive the Bells of Acheron fanzine that surprised me including a review of my fanzine with words that made me feel really proud, I could not believe someone could write about my fanzine in that way, Thank you very much for your words, I felt extremely honoured because I am not a professional, just a fan with a huge lack of knowledge in every field but I do my best. Thank you again. Back to the album, these guys play a fast Death Metal, I would mention the word "modern" but not in a bad sense of the word, is just because everything sounds perfect, this is the kind of Death metal with pure blast beats everywhere, with little melodic riffs that lead to a Black Metal vibe, and vocals totally worship SARCOFAGO's Wagner, a cover it is even included. Most of the tremolo riffs are that fluent that you can perceive the great vibe, feeling of the execution, it is extremely hard to achieve something like that and they made it here. Took me some time to make up my mind about keeping this release or trade it, but I have to say that I own few recordings from this place, the trade with Trauma Records was special and the band is good and can be totally recommended if you are into this kind of Metal, I am avoiding the label "War" Metal because I am not a collector of this genre, but it could be used in case it fits you better, so you can get the proper idea of what they do. This is their debut album, extremely astonoshing because it is professional as fuk and is hard to decide which track is better, all are in the same line, the starting track "Necropilic Damnation", the second one "Supersonic Devastations" are fantastic, "Demonic Incursion" is great too, at some points reminded me of BLACK VUL DESTRUKTOR (Arg), "Serpentine Curse" is in the same line with some Black Metal slow parts but thanks to having this great vocalist and lacking of keyboards, they totally get the best out of the mix. "Despotic Archdameon Regin" could be the rarest one because stars having nothing to do with the rest of the tracks, is more in the vein of Greek Black Metal and some Japanese vibe too... out-of-your-mind solos and rythms are excellent, almost at the end it gets Brazilian again, made me think of "Ready to Fuck" from SARCOFAGO(BRA). Their last track is "Savage Incarnate" which falls into some 90s nosk Black Metal I don't enjoy too much because of those melancolic melodies I just despice. Well done reissue, it's a digipak with fantasic art not only the evil frontcover but also what's printed in the CD itself. DEATHSLAYER (US) - Cry of the Swords demo 1984, yep another band with fem vocals on the front, reminded me of KIM SIXX (DNK) with its omonimous track, but sadly I found this really boring... first instrumental track is great, then this one and the rest is just boring... don't know, this band just did not do that click on my brain. If you are insane by fem vocals just give them a try, you may enjoy it more than I did. DAMNATION(CAN) - Damned in nation demo #3 1989, well if you remember them because of one of the best Canadian demos like "Speed Anarchy" 1986 is, and also thanks to "Agressive Repulsive Symphonies" demo 1987, you may realise why this one is not so well known, they turned into a more CRYPTIC SLAUGHTER (US) style with vocals towards Hardcore music, even the guitars and distortion, for me this is just another band and not DAMNATION. It is OK, but if you were expecting the real insanity they once had, well, this is not for you at all! EKCXYMATOP(BUL) - Tepop 1993, countries like Bulgaria, Hungary, Yugoslavia including Russia, had this sound that is hardly heard somewhere else. A mixture between recording everything in-line with no amps, or amps but directly to the console or just pure ignorance in terms of metal master process which made this so unique. Again, one of the top recordings from those countries is this demo tape, this project is only one guy playing everything under the name of "The Piff", great mind indeed, because the ideas are terrific and aggressive. I can name just few bands that could relate to this Death Metal sound, KREMATOR(RUS), ARPEPOP(BUL), TOXIC TRASH(SVK), KRUGER(RUS). Recommended as fuk! Thanks my friend Thomas from Life Eternal Prods for this! KAOS(US) - New Creation 1990 demo, WOW! I cannot say nothing more than "impressive", never heard of this North American monicker! This is a total obscure and hidden gem! I totally recommend this bastards of Death/Thrash metal insanity, the guys play a highly skilled deathrash speed holocaust with impressive soloing, great drummings, etc, etc, etc the vocal tun rips! in the vein of SADUS(US), HEXX(US), SACRILEGE BC(US), RECIPIENTS OF DEATH(US), HELLWITCH(US), AHTEIST(US), DEVASTATION(US), WEHRMACHT(US), and in the beginning of "Kaos Among us" does that armonic sound like MARTIRE(AUS)! HAHA, all these combinated but more Thrash Metal. ARGH!!! This is a huge discovery from my side man. You won't regret getting this maleficient madness! KAOS (US) - Vivisection demo 1991, read carefully, don't get this piece of shit tape. Stick to the previous one and I will add to my wishlist the 1988 demo because must be in the same line as the other masterpiece. AGGRESSOR(Ita) - The wings of Death 1987 demo, this was also unknown to me, it's a Thrash Metal band from Italy really inspired by VENOM(UK), you will see that in the second track with the very same name of the demo, Italy counting on such a bunch of tremendous bands, this obviously fades out... From the third track and on you can realise it has SLAYER influences mixed with vocals Kam Lee from MANTAS(US) ,DEATH(US) ,MASSACRE(US) could have done back in the time. This has some great riffs, drums and vocals after the first two tracks, probably the lack of good sound does not help them a lot or helped them in the time. Anyway, is a good project to know if you dig the Italian scene, you won't get bored nor hooked. ANNIHILATED (UK) - Speedwell demo 1985, if SLAYER and ONSLAUGHT(UK) had an affair you could have this bastard son right away. guitar tune and snare sound is totally English, vocals are a little kind of Speed Metal version of Araya's. I have been trying to get this one for quite a long time, I am impressed because this band preserver the HC roots from their country but also their NWOBHM roots right there exploding into Thrash Metal. "Inferno" is the first infernal track that captures your soul insantly, "Shadows of Fear" follows with and axe in it hand starting as if it were IRON MAIDEN(UK), but hell is not, is like if you were listening to a proto sample of their well known track "Chase the Dragon", "Thunderflash" have some great screams but kind of bored me, "40 dumb Animals" is totally G.B.H(UK) worship but more aggressive as it must. "Ethiopia" closes the demo, the name made me think of PATTI SMITH(US),and the rythm guitar during the magnific solo reminded me of 200 MUERTOS(Par), the vocal with tremendous reverb is excellent, these two tracks definately are Hardcore, the band started as a Punk band so the progress towards faster and thrash sounds were expected and a demo like this with this mixture was too. Excellent demo if you are also into English Hardcore repulsion. CREMATION (US) - Chaos and Termoil 1987 demo , it includes a DEATH STRIKE(US) "Pay to die" cover and sounds like rehersals by TERRORIZER(US) and NAUSEA(US), so you know what you get. Even though that's the spirit, is not that fast, probably more Death Metal than aforementioned bands, just like DEATH STRIKE (US) because of the kind of speed used. Great demo with short songs. "Final Doom" track is a slower version of "Baptized in Blood" from DEATH(US) kind of... Good to get. CRIONIC(DNK) - The land which once were demo 1986, impressive sound for this demo tape, only 4 songs of total Thrash Metal with rythms and ideas used mostly in Technical project but they achieved to do it quite well and kept it interesting. I know few bands from this country, Some I remember listening to but were too technical for my taste, this is one is not, you could bet Chuck's technical ideas could have been inspired by them ha ha! I can compare this project with D.B.C.(Can) and ANNIHILATOR (CAN) too but is not that fast, the speed is ala METALLICA(US), I could mention AUTOPSIA(GER) because of some effects, but is much more skilled. As something extraordiary I would remark the vocals. This demo was something completely unexpected for my brain, sadly they did not achieve recording an LP, I bet they could have been as big as any other thrash metal band from anywhere at the time, recommended! TERMONUCLEAR (Per) #1, I was re-reading this one I long ago got a xeroxed copy... don't even know when and how but I remember it had something from the old HADEZ(PER) and also form CURRICULUM MORTIS(PER) so it was great revisiting this one, looks quite awfully xeroxed in some pages probably scanned and later xeroxed because of the lost of quality, anyway, it is readable, highly recommended! Regarding re-readings, SATANIC DEATH (Jpn) issue 3 is another one over my desk, also xeroxed somewhere some years ago... the selection on this issue is manicly outstanding, sadly also bad pages quality but I did my best to get to read it anyway... you can read about bands like AUTOPSY(US), DEAD CONSPIRACY(US), ATHEIST(US), OBLIVION(CAN), RIGOR MORTIS(US), OBSCURITY(SWE), MESSIAH DEATH(JPN), ANIALATOR(US), CREMATION(US), NUN SLAUGHTER(US), PRIME EVIL(US), MORBID ANGEL(US), MAYHEM(BRA), PSYCHIC POSSESSOR(BRA), ANSCHLUSS(BRA), GENOCIDIO(BRA), ARSENIC(US), O.L.D.(US), SKULLFUCKER(BRA),etc,etc,etc... to name the ones on the cover that I like, totally killer, this must be the mass media back then in Japan I presume, because all these , except from MESSIAH DEATH and OBSCURITY , come from AMERICA! Hugely recommended if you like to dig in the old origins of extreme music.

CYANIDE GRANADE(Rus) - Quintissence of Death 2017 released by the russian label Metal Race, remember them from the ASPID LP? well, this is a new Thrash/Speed Metal band, the music is professional as fuk, not too original but it has its riffs in its own technical way but not too complex, I mean, you can think of TOXIC HOLOCAUST with a little bit more skilled guitars, vocals are also in the vein of Joel which pleases you instantly. The whole production is clean but does not opaque this album at all, in fact you can enjoy every detail from that. Solos are spectacular and well assembled into the tracks. My favs were "Don't joke with a stranger" , "Deadlock", "Drunk Attack" it's an instrumental one but speedy and catchy which makes it enjoyable throughout the whole time you listen to it, you don't get distracted at all, well done. "Welcome to the Slasher" I think is the best track of the whole album and reminds me of VEKTOR(US) but not that technical. This LP includes a Venom's "Black Metal" cover, is good, I am not too fond of these kind of covers anyway... I kind of lost my interest in covers. Pro: lyrics are in English, Neg: you don't notice any difference if this band were from Russia or any other part of the world because has nothing to do with their ancient Russian sound at all. Anyway, I don't see it as a clone band, for instance I kind of dislike CIST also from Russia because they are just a DEATH(US) clone also with no root at all in what Russian thrash metal was and with a northamerican sound... totally rip off in my opinion but CYANIDE GRANADE achieves a good music anyway. If you have the opportunity to get this one, don't hesitate to do it! AUTOPSY(US) - Headless Ritual CD by Pieceville 2013, sick LP by the ancesters of death. I don't know if I can add too much on this, you know AUTOPSY's come back with 'Macabre Eternal' hit me in a way I can hardly explain, because their line is so fukin unique... Even with its slow parts, I cannot consider them as 'doom' for me they are horror, doom is boring, Horror is not! They kept this line up which I fuking love with Eric, Chris, Danny and Joe... If you can get this one don't even doubt it, in my opinion is better than Torniquetes... but I would buy that one too because I like having their stuff! AUTOPSY(US) - Skull Grinder EP 12'' Pieceville, this is another example of how great they are. In fact I got really influenced by this one because of its horrific parts and obscure vocals. The other day I was talking about this project with a friend of mine while on a street market in the hunt of stuff, I know lots of people consider them as Doom because of their slow parts, OK, I can agree up to a certain extend because I think they are not doom but horror parts, I compare them even with what NECROPHAGIA(US) did, I don't get bored with their slow parts because they have something extra that can be compared with manic scenarios from horror movies, just in the right moment about to stab you in the eye. AUTOPSY(US) - Puncturing the Grotesque 2017 by Pieceville, last studio recording of this fukers and you know what to expect. Bloodgutsandbeer! This time I came across with more HC influence on guitars and drumming but never leaving their death metal realm. This EP comes with 7 tracks and the last one is a refubrished one coming from BLOODBATH(US) , a HC band Danny used to have, I was lucky enough to see them live that very same year and they killed with it! Again, I recommend buying this one too. Is short but that's what EP's are all about, a pre-kick in your face for an upcoming LP or may be just another EP ha! ZNÖWHITE(US) - Demo #1 1983 & Demo #2 1984, what I can say about a Heavy/Speed Metal band from US with female vocals? You are right, nothing more than FUKIN SHIT MAN! This is pure speed attack in your fukin damned ugly shited face. I can hear some MONTLEY CRUE(US) & ANNIHILATOR(Can) influences... check the years anyway, probably the other way round... I haven't checked further matherial but this demos made my kaffee-und-arbeit-morgen. Yeah still learning the language of some bastards friends for the fun of it, to distract from work while music. Back to the demos, I totally recommend you to check this out, vocal tune can lead you to ACID(Bel) may be from time to time. Remarkable tracks: all, but "Do or Die" is great and of course reminds me of DISCHARGE(UK) track, what a great expression and cannot be clearer. "Know who you are", "Hell Bent" , "Live for the Weekend". Soundwise is also great and as dirty as it is (is not that dirty, but may be it is for the genre) is perfect. SCHIZO(Ita) - Total Schizophrenia demo 1987, great demo title, and starting with a track named "Electric Shock" you can get nothing more than electric insanity by the vocals and sharp guitars. I fukin love Italian tune in vocalists and pronuciation, you can feel pure hatred and what a pleasant feeling it is. I am new to this recording because I never knew there were previous music to Main Frame Collapse LP. The track titled "Nazi and Proud", with its quite shocking title, could prevent some from listening to them, reading mags from the time, you can realise they were no more than kids being fearless with what they did, you can read SLAYER mag interviews issued with anti-swastika drawings and all... is always the same during the time, they wanted to be rebels and they were, as an adult I can say, what a stupid way of doing it but somehow they did it and properly. I even thought about myself while doing some graffitti in my neighbourhood with swastikas just for the sake of bothering people, i was 13-14 hahahahaha a total asshole but well, that was the way of being anti whatever hahaha; I won't do that nowadays because times changed and dictatorship-ways are on the table, back then here it was just post-economical depression and I was sick of not being able to do anything without any money... just drinking or smoking whatever i could get and rebel against who knows what i was thinking of... so ... well enough, "Psycho Terror" or known by our circle as "saico tero" is also in this tape, slower beginning but fast parts are there almost as they got done for the LP, awesome. "Deathstress" track is new to my ears, I really cannot recall that track from anywhere, is great for finishing the sideA with really good riffs, man I wish I could do that! some guys really were born to be wild! The enchantments of the 80s! "Breathe the violence", awesome title, unleashes as a HC track with great noises in the guitars with echo and then turns into fast brutality. "S.O.J.A.R" closes the tape as if it were grindcore super fast, the main guitar riff sound reminded me of III KATEGORIJA(Yug) may be. SCHIZO(Ita) - Thrash the Unthrashable, Thrash to kill demo 1985 , dirtier, slower and simpler demo than the previously mentioned, includes some tracks not issued later. Something to grab for the sake of visualizing their progress. CRYPTIC SLAUGHTER(US) - Life in the grave demo 1985, what the fuk with its intro Ha ha! also first time listening to this demo. "Flesh of the Wench" is obscure, probably the sound of the tape helps them to achieve that, total thrash metal with few HC parts and solos, this is different and fukin like it!! it even reminds me of SADUS. Check the fukin year! "Necessity supreme" same line ARGHH!!!!!!! ARGHHHH!!! "Life in the grave" is horrific with its beginning like moshing-with-horror and instantly takes you to the graveyard to kick the tumbstones and crush them with full psycho screams. Short track anyway. "War to the knife" back to the same line as first tracks, hell yeah. "Rest in pain" closes the demo, with thrasher vocals and sound probably a little bit slower too from what you hear in the Convicted LP, anyway you can get the line of the band and its impressive roots. This tape makes me understand even more what they fuking did. This band ended up being one of my top 10, Hahaha i don't even have a top 10 but you get the idea. Excellent demo. KRYPTA(Bra) - Last Attack demo 1989 is a fuking masterpiece in the SLAYER(US) vein from the Brazilian lands. Loved this demo, long ago knew them and again, this demo counts on three tracks. Then the demo Fatal Destiny from 1988 is more death/thrash with a clear MAGNUS(Pol) vibe in the vocals. Is not as good as their previous demo but this brazilian band is a killer act and I believe quite unknown too. I hardly see this on trading lists or whatever. Thanks my friend, I am enjoying this more than a monkey with bananas! GENOCIDIO(Bra) - EP 1988 , monstruos Death Metal, the beginning of the first track reminds me of "Ingenieria Infanticida" from the old local act MORBID BLOOD(Ury) ,vocals and next riffs are ala SARCOFAGO(Bra), but I don't know, the whole environment is less Black Metal and much more violent into the death realms, one could even check some DORSAL ATLANTICA(Bra) way of riffing in the second track... as far as I remember, this recording is the only worth having from them... I remember checking something post '88 which disappointed me a lot because was towards a different frame of reality. DEADLY MANOVER(Can) - Deathology demo 1987, fukin pure agression with magnificient vocals as one could listen in other Canadian project like DAMNATION(Can) or YOG SOTHOTH(Can), amazing Deathrash with malevolence and extremely sharp axes from the depths of insanity! Revisiting this kind of demos is what makes you live another fukin day with a huge smile in your ugly face with your fist up high in the dark skies! Never give up on trading man! I cannot believe I am listening to this tape after so much years! Screams like the one at the end of "pleasure of the flesh" track is what makes them so memorable! EXPULSED ANGEL(Ger) - Knights of the Black Moon demo 2018 - RE 2021 by Escafismos Recs from the mighty bastard Edin, I won't say anything else because a review was already done on this site before, but what a great demo! This reissue includes a Bonus track "Gods of the Black Abyss" in the very same vein as the other tracks but seems to be taken from a rehearsal at some points I found it more Brazilian-influenced at the beginning, not because of its chaotic riffs but due to mid tempo drummings. And besides being released in a top quality tape, did you know that the tape counts on an Uruguayan artist for the frontcover?!!!!! Yeah MAN! This highly super skilled artwork was done by my brother Fukulo from the local act HEFESTO(Ury)! He kills beyond killness and his arts were issued somewhere in our fanzine Extreme Resurrection, expect a somber-quaility artist. MERCILESS DEATH(Pol) - Eternal Condemnation demo 1987, relistening to this classic deathrash from Poland, fast and insane. Already well known project which happened to be already reissued on CD, I want to buy it but I will have to wait until borders get open back again. In the mean time I got it from a trade. This is in the excellent vein of the time in those lands, like first recordings from VADER and the mighty IMPERATOR(Pol), both in pre-LP's eras. Vocalist also reminded me of NECROPHILIAC (Spa). The joke on "Seek n Destroy" from METALLICA(US) is fantastic jajaja, they also seem to be into the cartoon from the time like AUTOPSIA(Ger) (pipi langstrumpf was it JAJAJA!) It would be pointless to add something else than fukin get this band whenever you can! KPEMATOP(Rus) - YEPTOÑ 1989 , this was recorded during the USSR times, originally recorded in Reel tapes and distributed by the band itself this release is nothing more than an old forgotten full of hatred gem. I used to follow chupacabra records who happened to release this on tape years ago but sadly I could not get it. Anyway, some years later OSDM Records put it out on CD which is fukin great, one item to be removed from my wishlist. I totally recommend you this CD not only because I am fukin insane by 80s Russian sound but because the music kills, no compromise, just pure Thrash from the cold russian hell! One thing I did not understand is, the label translated into English the name of the tracks but lyrics are in russian jajajajaja WHY!?!! Anyway, the CD itself is printed as if it were from the old times too... shiny with black borders, is beautiful, besides the artwork seems to be done by a xeroxing house from the 2nd World War because smells ancient! AH man I am fukin jumping of joy with this in my stereo! Please, if someone know how to contact OSDM Records by snailmail or mail let me know... I came across with this release just by chance when my friend Thomas from Life Eternal Prods sent me his newsletter... I should ask him ah? HA HA rNAboTNHA(Rus) - BoÑ 1992 - RE 2018 again by OSDM Records, this project known as GUILLOTINE is fukin pure russian Thrash metal with some deathrash ingridients, fast as fuk and agressive, another hidden band from the lands of war, they released this in 1992 but no cover, no nothing ... probably also distributed by themselves with no recognition from abroad (may be I am wrong but it seems like it), the label was in charge to add a front cover to this which intends to represent the old style from 80 Russian with a painting in the Russian way, seems quite modern in my eyes but I got the point and understanding that there's nothing to critizice, good work. The eyes of the demonic manifestation looks sick and old ha ha. I know I claimed 90s sound is not my kind of beer, but you know, this is one of those projects that still sounds like 5 years before it was released, that is why I am recommending you this killer album right away! Expect nothing more than Russian thrash with its typical sharpy sound, with weird riffs cuts and double drum bass when least expected!!! An the best, the beast of bothering and insane screams in their own motherrussia language! OBLITERATION(Nor) - Nekropsalms 2009, second album by this AUTOPSY lovers. Well, as I only had the Blac Death Horizon tape which is DM in the real classic ways and totally astonished me, I did not hesitate to get more stuff from them, this album was quite shocking to me because their skills were far beyond what you can listen in newer albums... bass is full of effects which perfectly suited the environment of the music and the drumming is extremely technical. The whole album is much more technical comparing it to what I knew from them. Probably slower than what they did after that. The concept of the art also depicts that what you get is not easy to digest, but honestly, it is a great album too. I did enjoy it, not as much as Black Death Horizon but is not that far either. I would recommend you this one too! OBLITERATION(Nor) - Cenotaph Obscure 2018 is what's next to Black death Horizon and is just exactly in the same vein, exploding vocals and fast music with somber landscapes of the macabre... I loved it, this is the line I enjoy the most from what they have done. I am holding the tape from Morbid Skull Records in my hands which is perfectly done too. Each song has a drawing to expose the lyrics, quite an interesting concept, may be reflects images in your mind the same way a movie could do. I think this one will be on my deck for quite a good time. The best reflection one gets is that they had lots of well known AUTOPSY's riffs but they developed their creativity into more of their own and even thou you can realise their roots, which are fantastic, you can get a piece of their stuff too. To be their latest studio recording, this deserves total recognition! The made it once again! Definately #6 Tough Riff fanzine is excellent, had CRYPTIC SLAUGHTER(US) , EXMORTIS(US) and ATHEIST(US) in depth interviews that are fantastic with stories I had never heard of before. Now I started the #8 which is also in the same vein, has MASSACRA, good interview! it seems that now I can consider this fanzine a real good work and probably that's why Stefan from Schatensmann Productions/Witchcraft is releasing it, in the end, highly recommended! I cannot believe I forgot to mention the bible of Mexican extreme music, Mexican Underground Metal 1984-1994, this fanzine is perfectly done the way I like it, chronologically, besides it's done even ordered by cities which melted my brain! This demonstrate pure passion and research, i fukin loved it, it is something you probably keep in your furniture for further reading because the amount of unknown projects (at least for me) is vast, is written in a really humble way and everything you need to know from Mexico is there. The only drawback I found is it has some images in bad quality, but as claimed by the author, it seems few people cooperated with him to do it, which is quite sad in fact... This publication is a total must. Something spectacularly done is that some information is repeated in future articles by the author for you to remember what you could have read in previous chapters, that is fantastic if your drunkfukedupmind can't retain much information. As far as I remember this one is sold out but it really needs a reprint, I believe what you can get is the next edition which issue bands from the next period of time in Mexico that is still available. I am really happy with this one and to know I gave my support to someone that really deserves it.

Hell there! I am overjoyed about Melissa man... can't stop playing that album. In fact I even recognized TED NUGENT(US) influences on Hank's way of riffing. Okey okey... let's do it: BLACK SHEPHERD (Bel) - United Evil Forces 1986 - As I wanted to keep on moving through history, I swam into BLACK SHEPHERD realm, belgian Black/Death/Thrash Metal I would say. If you think GRAF SPEE is unique (as I do), you must check this band out. The ressemblance on this demo is awesome, mostly due to the insanity of their vocalist and some cuts on the guitars. Watch out, not for WIMPS! Sadly this project became quite bad in their full length, vocals are not as astonishing as they were, like a lack of anger or something. Did not enjoy the LP as much as this pure fuking evil demo. WASTED YOUTH (US) - This is a HC project, I am refering to their Reggan's In EP from 1981, sound-wise is not as goog as I expected, it seems it was recorded in different sessions because the mixing varies from one track to another, but music is excellent, top HC I must say, in fact as I was gut-ripped by VERBAL ABUSE (US) first LP, well... this has to be one of their prime influences with no doubt. In fact I guess that they also influenced bands like LETHAL AGGRESSION (US). And don't forget, FUK THE AUTHORITY! ACÜSSED (US) - The Return of... Martha Splatterhead 1986, well, what to say man... this is total crushing 80's Trashcore, marvellous LP, I found some connections between this and MIDNIGHT, did you notice that in "Buried Alive" track!? I am not wrong man! The vocals are identical! Besides I cannot stop thinking AUTOPSY(US) is influenced by them too... check the track "Autopsy"! ARGH man this is really aggressive, as fuk! ANNIHILATOR (CAN) - Well, I never thought about checking their demos... I thought, Alice in Hell is hell of a record and I doubted that could be rawer or dirtier or even with different vocals, I found it exquisite as it is. But some day my brother fukulo ( from HEFESTO(URY) ), told me... hey did you listened the demos? they are rawsome! Well... I gave them a try while drinking with him once at Bruno's place... it were good, he was right, but I was quite drunk to notice details. Now, as you already might saw, I did another trade with the ancient warrior from hell, who happened to have them, dubbed my tapes and while fanzine-ing I enjoyed it anxiously. In 1986 - Phantasmagoria demo was released, Jeff Waters was in charge of the vocals too... what!? as the monster guitar player he is, he had a brutal voice too! Vocals are in the front and they are fantastic, more into DM I would say but not the music as it keeps in the same Thrash Metal vein. In 1986 - Welcome to your Death demo, the whole production of this demo is maximum but surely not a clean as the LP, tracks are little slower but more violent due to the vocals being rawer. Is much more obscure. These demos can't be ignored at all. BLACK DETHE (US) - Well, better now than never ah!? Years looking something from these guys I only had checked them out digitally, like what, 13 years ago? Finally I can hold a dubbed tape from their demo Mary's Blood! It was that long ago I cannot recall where I read that theye were named Black Death but someone misspelled it and it ended like dethe JA JA!!! This demo is excellent, they are POSSESSSED(US), DARK ANGEL (US) worshippers, they shared stage also with POSSESSED as far as I remember, fukin brain cells where are they when one needs it! SACRILEGE BC (US) vein, you know what I mean. That hammer of thrash blasting your skull into dust with insane screams! HEADHUNTER D.C. (Bra) - Hell is Here demo 1989, every time I read something about this band, or even interviews, the remarkable aspects of this band is that they preserve the underground spirit even though they are a hellishly big underground name. Again, the same like with BLACK DETHE (US); years without having anything from them in my collection, Uruguay has no good taste for Death Metal nor Thrash Metal, nor anything may be... So it's likely I will never see some official recording from them here unless I buy it myself for my collection and my small crapy distro... Back to the demo, what makes it stay in your brain as if it were tatooed right there is the intro because is funnier everytime you hear it hahaha, is in the vein of bands like SARCOFAGO and SEXTHRASH (BRA) , I am talking about this demo and the studio one from the 90s, because I know later releases are more DM oriented. I am fukin happy to hold this dubbed tape too and HELL IS FUKIN HERE! DECEASED (US) - fleshmelting 2CDs compilation finally at home done by the Area Death Prods label, including what I needed, the whole pre-Luck of the corpse recordings. What else to add? This is fukin DECEASED! ZYKLON-B (US) - Gorenography Demo 1988, another that was urging in my anxiety... fuk this demo is fantastic because vocals are so violent and riffs are so good and original, I fuking love this demo, I know I have the next demo which is not as good as this one, not at all, here they are at their peak! HATRED (US) - another north american fukers who know how to do things, Long time ago I knew this project too... Drowning in Afterbirth is from 1985 but quite ahead for their time, fast, extreme killer! Vocals come from a HC background no doubt. I have even found some similarities in terms of riffs to my other project SCHIZOPHRENIC DEATH (URY) hahahahaha fuk, neurons work in some mysterious ways! I could say this guys influenced me totally! Hahahahahaha fuk man... what a fukin coincidence. This band also reminds me of FREAK from brazil, one of those I am still hoping to get somewhere in this lifetime. Besides Music I have been also reading my pile of pending fanzines, taking down some notes so I could get music in the future from acts that really drew my attention. I read the compilation of first two issues from Damage Inc. from Norway written by Maniac, the guy known for being the vocalist in Deathcrush MLP, I don't know if this is really necessesary to mention but just in case you don't know. I already had them xeroxed but I wanted to get it anyway because the printing quality is above what I had, extreme good quality I must remark. Besides, to give my humble support to this work. Honestly first two issues are killer indeed but the newest one from 2017, issue #3, is awfully disordered and aesthetically speaking it quite sucks. I recommend this book only if you don't have those first two issues already in your collection. I also dug into Tough Riffs fanzines, until the guy tunred into Black & White this fanzine is kind of mainstream, or may be it's me that i have been ignoring lots of bands the last 5 years... issue #2 has brutal death metal bands I kind of dislike, even his #4 issue is kind of boring. But #6 issue kicks your face with an intense interview with SADISTIC INTENT (US) and I looked some pages ahead and MERCILESS (SWE) is there too... so I think at this point seems to be getting quite interesting and interviews are better done. I had these issues thrown in my room sooner to be read and even though they are not up to date, something I just don't give a fuk because I am into fanzines and that happens frequently and I don't care because I like slow phase for things, my time, universal time, not system's one, fuk off fast world, only fast music! I don't know what else to write, I think it's the first time I write about fanzines in here... I cannot remember the name of some others I read but I will mention some sooner or later because there are some that are masterpieces, like SCATOLOGY #1 from Spain which I mentioned (was it a review?! ha ha! ) in the MORBID FAITH newsletter. Ohh.. I also read On Parole which is well written, interesting questions but bands are not my kind of beer, at least not in this first issue, with the exception of one or two bands from the whole. I think the good thing on this one is that, in some ways, it introduces a new scope in the interviewing field. Well psycho lunatics of death this is it for now. Enjoy, rebel and don't be fukin lazy, trade now more than ever, do ilegal concerts and keep the flame burning, music is our power so use it! PS: Extreme resurrection #1 & #2 are finished, working on #3, xeroxing work will be done after finishing #4 issue. #7 is almost closed in terms of content. One or two HEFESTO tapes are left but you can always get in touch with the band.

PEDIFILE (US) - Die a Violent Death demo 1986, ARGH!!!! what a crazy music!!! I came across with this in the first issue of Morbid Maganzine (Nor) that I took the scans lately from strappado forum. Then listened to this in youtube and could not believe it, this is a mixture in the wildness of DECEASED(US) together with the insanity of MAGNUS(Pol) in vocals and some AGRESSION(Can) due to those high tones in the voice that are unbelievably insane! This will slash your fukin face into pieces! I hope I can get this demo, sadly the bassist contact in m-a was broken, shit!! ATTOMICA (BRA) - 1987 LP, my brother Bruno has their third LP, I was not into it at all... but I never knew it was the third LP that was under his possession, I assumed it was the first. Since months I have been reading the book United Forces, a compilation of this great brazilian fanzine, which of course lead me to lots of unknown projects I was missing or probably forgot. This band was one of those; their demo was claimed to be highly impressive and totally fast and at the time this LP was being recorded and soon to be out. That words forced me to go back and check it again. Definately this is the kind of brazilian band that is ahead from their time. They are highly skilled, fast, brazilian but with a huge inspiration from SODOM in vocals. Is a kind of brazilian-german thrash mixture, astonishing indeed! This album is quite instrumental, long tracks with lack of vocals at times but kills anyway. This was totally deserving being heard by myself. LETHAL AGGRESSION (US) - Life is hard... but that is not an excuse at all! 1988, what the fuk can I say about this ball of digested bowels of male babies regurgitated from their goddess of infinit vaginas!? Listened to it once, twice... I could not stand the rythm in the vox, like rap, but man the lyrics, the speed and anxiety emanated from these bastards of hell is acidly envenoming! ARGH!!!! My favs: "I'll fight", "No scene", "KDD" (KILL DEATH DIE!!!), "Don't break the pact" (SHITHEAD!), "Spooge" argh I can list the whole album KILLS! The title of the album says it all man, fuk life, fuk all but FIGHT. And not to be disappointed, I was watching a live set from them which I happened to trade, from 1986 and they are insane! NECROPHAGIA (US) - Power through darkness demos, this is a compilation of their early demos, perfect for fans of horror death metal, of course you already know this pioneering act of magnificient arts in this theme. I only had under my possession their CD of Season of the dead, but this one was a must since power through darkness is an impressive demo but all their demos KILL... KILL... KIIIILL!! This is a reissue by Irreverent Curse Records on green-puz tape. EVOKED TERROR (Per) - Summoning Spectral Visions Demo 2013, I dubbed this tape from my friend Mediocridad, great mid-tempo Death metal from the grave... like I always say, peruvian nightmares inspired by brazilian 80s scene, lots of riffs some familiar and vocals take me to the chilean scene, for instance DEATHLY SCYTHE (CHL) due to those ripping screams. Tracks are all the time up and down in terms of speed, it's enjoyable and they totally worship the ancient cult. THE KILL (US) - Force of the Habit demo 1985, Crazy Thrash band ala EXODUS(US) and even the track "On the Road" from VENDETTA(GER) rang the bell on this. Catchy tracks well axecuted that keep you on the mood. "Kill or be Killed" is an in your face track, then "Metal Messiah" is like IRON MAIDEN(UK) at some points. "Ready to Fire" is in the same vein but more speed with some METALLICA(US) stuff, excellent to close this three track demo. THE KILL (US) - Kill or be killed demo 1986, "Murder by Metal" unleashes more fury and shows how this band is developing into more powerful act. The sound is kind of cleaner and dirtier at the same time, guitars probably sharper. Vocals are much more chaotic, mostly in the chorus part with the name of the track. Then the next track is a re-recording of "Kill or be killed" which is killerly improved due to more energetic screams. ANGEL WITCH (UK) - 1980 album, well what to say... a gem in the UK Heavy Metal realm. Lots of stuff similar to IRON MAIDEN(UK), and at times similar to DEF LEPPARD(UK) for instance in their track "Free Man" you will easily identify what I mean. This LP is so rich, it has great theatre experiences like what you can feel listening to "Atlantis". What one can state is the same as always with albums coming from that time... there's no bad track at all. It seems in the old times things were done properly with no mediocre shit to fill the space; at least not in most of the cases. TÖXIC DEATH (NOR) - Remember DEATHHAMMER (NOR), OBLITERATION (NOR), MABUSE (NOR), CONDOR (NOR) and who knows what other marvellouse acts Norway got into its lands... well, this act is no exception to the list because its vocals are just in the same kind of girlyscream that are outstandingly pure hatred... I cannot understand how those fantastic screams are achieved by these psychos from hell. Well, the only I have under my possession is a dubbed copy of their 2012 demo which is good. What still amaze me is the fact that even it's a demo, the quality could be compared with an LP. Recommended for those thrashing lunatics thirsty of obscure insanity. MERCYFUL FATE (DNK) - Melissa 1983, even thou some think I am into this act, nope... I am not at all... this is the 10th time I think I give it a try, it is really hard for me to stand the vocals, I am doing it again but this time with a better result. I came across with some vocal tunes similar to Rob Hallford and guitars as obscure as the ones done in the past by Tomi Iommi with the exception that this guitars have more gain with a speed touch. Even tracks like "Into the Coven" exposes JUDAS PRIEST (UK) influences. "Satan's Fall" also showed me that MEFISTO intro, one of the best intros in the world by the way, in the demo "Megalomania", has its influence here with the laughter you can listen. If I mentioned above that ANGEL WITCH(UK) has theatrical scenarios of music, well, this exposed even beyond those borders. It's still happening to me that higher notes on vocals are unbearable, the worst track generating this issue of braincellscollidingwhilevomitingbrainwormeaters is "Satan's Fall". Even though, riffs after that crap do kill, but it destroys my head! May be with more listenings it will do it. In the end this time I enjoyed it very much, all tracks are great, still convinced that NWOBHM and Hard Rock had great impact on this band but I am not saying anything new. VA (Pol) - Tyrants of Hell Vol. I Compilation 2020, extremely oportune compilation done by Destruktion Records and Bestial Sounds Studio. This is great for getting your ears dirty with Polish underground scene from nowadays. At first listen I thought it was ugly and purely Black Metal stuff but man, even the worst band on this compilation is good! It really got me in... this scene seems pretty interesting. Highlights in my opinion are BLACK HOST(POL) - obscure Thrash Metal, ARMAGH(POL) - Black Thrash pretty Rocky in feeling, and the killer Black Rock 'n Roll VENGEANCE! About the B-Side, MOLOCH LETALIS(POL) - Black/Death Metal pretty killer, fast and sung in Polish which adds that extra touch, HELLCURSE(POL) - Black Thrash, NECRÖMANZER(POL) - Black Punk Thrash ala WHIPSTRIKER (BRA) with fabulous voices in the vein of "War and Pain" album from VOIVOD(CAN), ABUSER(POL) - ragin Thrash Metal , too much clean vocals and seems the sound is too perfect but kills anyway, BUTCHERY(POL) - Black/Thrash influenced by German Thrash Metal, GALLOWER(POL) - Black/Thrash Metal that fukin riff I listened somewhere else I cannot recall fuk!, MAGOG(POL) - Death Metal seemed to be taken from a rehearsal but kills, picture a Brazilian sound mixed with some SLAYER(US) touch. What really expulsed my brains out of my ears were the terrific intros done by the people in charge of this, those are great and I found it pretty original indeed, one of those on each side and the beginning "DEATH TO MODERN METAL..." HA HA HA EPIC! -If you are a label/distro and are willing to be part of the Official distribution ask here: signofevil.proc_at_gmail_dot_com . -If you are in my country or around Uruguayan borders and know my label/distro don't hesitate to ask for a copy! Oh and I forgot to mention it comes with a well designed letter for contacting bands which is really good so you can ask for more stuff directly through the involved bands! DAMNAKLEEZ (US) - Angel of Evil demo got released in 12'', another attack by the excellent label Buried by time and Dust Records. Finally I could get it, all this pandemic shit forced my friend Mediocridad to be kept far so we could not exchange our stuff until recently. As is must, includes the devilish lyrics and killer pictures! The sound is perfect and the whole art is magnificient. I must add that B-side kills with its second live demo at Ruthies Inn, spectacular sound and the introductions to some tracks reminded me of Tom Araya, when he starts a phrase including the title! check "Kamikazee"! . FOOD CHOICES - this isn't a band but a Movie, Documentary. Recommended because is not stupid like most of the anti-propaganda I have already watched.
