back again on business... relistening to the best satan's gift... indeed it's satan's gift! From the german thrash attack named DEATHROW(GER)! Need references?! ok... pure german thrash with a really angry paul di anno at screams similar to what RUNNIN WILD(GER)'s vocalist did at Gates to purgatory album. Well, as always, this is purely for exposure as recommendations for those who enjoy reading this kind of stuff. Bands here are nothing new at all except for some newest bands recommendations but the idea is to share with the readers what one could be into from time to time. Digging on my latest trades, Life Eternal (Ger) (thanks thomas!) released RADIATION (Svk) , their full length named The Gift of Doom which is pure thrash with few tremolo pickings to name it like thrash/death probably, excellent band, some interesting ideas, like the one considering nuclear fusion as a god ! hahahaha funny! but I really enjoyed their vibe. Together with this came the outstanding chilean act, already named here, yes... the psychopath from DEATHLY SCYTHE (CHL) with their promo Advance tape MMXVII which is fukingly fukin killer!! Of course ...Will of Death is hard to beat, but their direction towards more dark environments keeping it thrash is not a bad combination at all, I must admit I loved this tape I don't want to became obssessed with eddie V H but you know... this is a combination between the almighty POSSESSED(US) and Eddie, but this time is not because soloing parts but for the tremolo on the whole Evil Magick track. As I was into NEFARIUS (US) I managed to get the first demo of the band which WAV files are at their bandcamp for you to dub your own tape with the artwork, etc which of course I did, this is better, more agressive I believe, simpler tracks more effective and more obscure because the sound is not that professional. Once I was talking to a friend of mine, we firmly believe that demo's are sometimes the peak of a band because albums are so demanding, stressful, and so on... the recording process are not always as free as one can be on a demo recording, is vomiting, beers and leave... when at studio, could be the same but someone is watching, commenting and sometimes even directing, and because of the "this has to be great" even the musicians can have some riots, haha... so demos are one of the most interesting parts of a band history. In uruguay most people tend to ignore and even joke on "oh you only listen to demos, you are so undergound", that's not the point, like one of those memes with "I only listened to their demos" hahaha, that indeed is funny because some saying it don't even know the bands, but... the thing is, behind all that crap and claims from the mainstream dwellers, demos DO imply a huge significance on music development, some bands could not even achieve an album and their demos are spectacular! so if you are one of those interested in how death metal could became as sick as it was, well... dig mother fuker, the grave is boundlessly deep!! As a grave digger, SAVAGE DEATH (US) was one of my first 7th kind encounter when I first started the process of becoming POSSESED BY METAL, my brother "mediocridad" managed to get a copy of MASS GENOCIDE tape, what to say!? Tom stevens is a great guitar player and the music is fantastic deathrash, I already have the compilation crucified after genocide on CD but music is never enough on a collection right? This demo is from 85 and easily one can recognize some chuck schuldiner's riffings, I wonder if it was just a coincidence!? Their legion of doom track is simply MANIAC!!! as US deathrash has to be! SATAN's THRONE is the fukin puke glory!!! ARGHH!! NO ONE CAN CONQUER.... SEITAAANS THROOOOOOOOOOOOONE I love the sound of this guitar master, his tune... fuk... listen to this master of guitar. By the way... Tom kept on playing later on a project named NOKTURNEL (US), nothing but hatred is their first album and for me is also one of those outstanding recordings ever done and completely underated... why? May be because is not for a "listening on the fly" guitars are technical as hell, requires pure concentration on what your brain is experimenting and the sound achieves to perturb the listener, yes, are totally different kind of projects, one is middle 80s god the other is middle 90s (and you know what happened during 90s DM explosion) but besides all this boring words you are reading, NOKTURNEL for me is fantastic and rarely hear/read metalheads remembering tom and his achievements as a guitarrist... may be I am exagerating a little bit... may be not!? only I know.. and I know only one thing... TOTAL DESTRUCTION!
